Perfect place at the beach

The property was really clean and decor was nice and peaceful. Access to the beach was great. So many restaurants and shops in the area in walking distance and art places to look at and classes to take. The mattress was really nice. Would stay there again.

Great for our family

We had a great experience here. It was clean and there were amenities that were helpful - clean pots/pans, dishes, dish soap, laundry soap, etc. Loved that the laundry room was so accessible and free to use. We have young kids so it was very family friendly.

Great location!

We’ve stayed in several places along 30A, but this is by far our favorite location. Walking distance to the beach, shopping and great restaurants. The beach chair service is amazing too! No need to drag all that stuff down it’s already set up for you. The view from the balcony is beautiful and the bed was very comfortable. We would stay here again for sure!!

Great location

We were happily surprised by the location within the neighborhood with all the shops and restaurants! We had a view of the beach and it was a very short walk to the beach access. The property is well kept. The beds were a little uncomfortable and could’ve used thicker comforters than the thin quilts. Over all, a satisfactory stay.

Went for a weekend getaway with daughter. Always love staying at Gulf Place for the location. Unit was fine. Had issue with TV, worked for a little while after maintenance visit, then down again. Worn fixtures and finishes, but comfortable place with nice layout.

Fall break getaway

What a great place for a family of 4! Easy, close beach access. 5 minute walk from the condo front door to the gulf water. Only time we got in our car was to go to publix for supplies. Unit had all the essentials. No complaints here except it went too fast! Love Santa Rosa, and Gulf Place.

Beautiful view and location.

Although we love the location and the view this unit is in desperate need for renovation. The carpet is old and furniture is shabby. Compared with other units we have stayed in this was a disappointment. Another thing is that the kitchen could definitely be better equipped.

Short Mother’s Day weekend

Clean and perfect view! My 78 year mother slept on bed. She said it was very soft. My brother 56 years old slept on sofa because the sofa bed was broken at the head rest. I slept on lower bunk. It was all good for a short trip. Most importantly clean. Plenty of towels and everything for cooking. I would recommend a screen door to keep biting insects from entering condo.

We didn’t get our check in information until after 4:30. I tried contacting all available contacts and couldn’t get in touch with any of them. I have never had this problem staying with gulf place so hopefully it will be the only time.

Although the view is beautiful, the interior looks like it hasn’t been updated in a long time and it shows. It is pretty obvious that the minimum is just being met. There is also a shortage of silverware and pots/pans and only 2 uncomfortable chairs on the porch. The final thing is that the sheets didn’t fit the mattress and we were constantly having to try to get them back on the mattress. We won’t be back.

Spring Break

Our condo was the perfect location. The condo was relatively nice for the price. Having elevator, washer/dryer were very helpful. The beach access is awesome along with the shower to sand off is also nice. I will mention the sheets had to be rewashed as they had a mildew smell like left in the washer too long. Otherwise some upgraded utensils and appliances would be a nice touch to the condo. The stove needs to be upgraded. The can opener was totally useless, a keurig instead of a coffee pot would be nice and a larger pan as well. The top of the closet in bedroom needs a deep cleaning as it’s showing signs of mildew and rust. The hall bathroom needs to be repaired for the toilet paper holder. The patio furniture needs to be replaced as well. I will stay again if I have the oppurtunity to come back. The upgrades needed are not enough to keep from booking again.

We did not like our stay. Upon arriving we discovered that the place needs a lot of work - stains on the ceiling, minimum kitchen ware, dining table chair broken, mattress that’s pretty much like a blowup air mattress…. Awful! To make it worse, we requested more towels after discovering a few that looked dirty - Vacasa basically texted me that there is a laundry room. I was told they only provide starter towels, I would be responsible if we needed additional towels for our 4 night stay. I was shocked. I’ve never had a rental where they didn’t provide ample towels for a beach stay and we’ve been going to 30a for over 5 years. I finally called and got additional towels. The towels were so incredibly worn and rough - they were like rags. Later, it took me 3 Vacasa agents to give me the laundry room code. The first 2 just kept referencing the laundry rooms in the building. Zero customer service. We contemplated leaving but stayed for fear of losing the money we already paid (in full). In my opinion, the theme to this place was “let’s provide and do as a little as possible.” Location is fine but not on the beach - have to go across a busy street to reach the entrance. There is not a private beach - once you get to the beach you see a sign that points you to the public beach for Gulf Place guests. I think overall the location is fine but we would not stay at this rental again.

Great view, but needs a little TLC for a good night's sleep

We loved the spectacular view, and the dining table on the balcony. However, the bed needs a mattress pad, comforter, and sheets that fit. Bunk bed mattresses need to be updated. The addition of hooks for towels and miscellaneous items would also be useful.

Great property with excellent view

This property offers an excellent view of the Gulf of Mexico. The rooms are on the small side but big enough for several adults and/or children. There are many amenities nearby (shopping, dining, etc.) and the beach is just across the street. I hope to visit this property again.

No customer service

We like staying at this location and rented couple times now. The location has always been great! This time our beds was an issue. My kids bed was pretty much a foam and with one thin sheet cover not a quilt and one flat sheet. We requested extra blanket 3 TIMES and got no one to delivery it!!!! Not a call back or anything. The first call was late and I did not expect anyone to help that night so my kids went to bed cold using towels as extra blankets! So next day, figure I would be in line for 2 blankets delivery. At noon still nothing, so I called customer services again! They check and my order was in the Q! Waited and waited then it was 4:45pm still NOTHING, so called again. All the customer service people on the call seemed concerned but then I hear nothing back from them! So the 3rd call- they were going to call and text the person and for sure we got nothing! Still no blanket for our 3rd night stay. So sad this was not well processed! The master bed was so soft that we would sleep in a sink hole….not ideal sleeping in a hole no support. For some reason the cleaning people did not put the bed skirt back on, just seems carelessness. The place need more updating, not a big deal such as laminate countertop chipped and cabinets are delaminating. Toilet paper dispenser fell off and faucet does not meet ADA lever on the handle! We hope you guys fix the customer service experience as we always enjoyed that area and now we are questioning our next stay. We will book another place.

Family trip

The view from the condo was beautiful. We’ve stayed at Gulf place for several years and love the atmosphere. The condo was missing some necessities ; there were No blankets for the fold out couch and the bed in the bedroom was extremely lumpy and uncomfortable. Compared to other units on the property, we felt this one was lacking. However, the view from our balcony will keep us coming back.
