"The new building and obvious quality of the appointments made a great impression when we checked in. We had no reason to change our opinions, until we visited the restaurant. The dinner menu is very limited, being mostly burgers and pasta and such. The "breakfast" made us go in search of better options - the breakfast selections at the Independence would make a budget lodging afficianado feel right at home: cold cereal, grocery store danishes, and do-it-yourself waffles. Pretty good coffee, though. "

"Check in was great. All staff members we met were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and updated with nice furnishings. The lobby and other public areas of the motel were nice. Breakfast was good. Our 2 small dogs were welcomed without an exorbitant pet fee. There is a nice designated pet area. We would definitely return if back in the area. "

The breakfast was good and had a lot of variety. The location is good. Front desk have great recommendations. The king suite is spacious."
