“Such a beautiful property, well maintained with spacious rooms and amazing views. The property is relatively small but is a great find. This is our second visit and we did feel the food was not as good as last time we were here. It is of good quality but we felt it was overpriced and had become too complex, we feel the removal of the buffet breakfast will lead to more waste and was not to our taste.”

“The room we were given did not have airconditioning. Just a little electric fan. We did not make a big deal out of it since we only stayed for 1 night. But it was very inconvenient. Otherwise, the hotel, the staff and the location was perfect.”

“Outstanding location , with breathtaking views of Umbria from atop of the hill on which the small town of Bettona is located . During the 13th and 14th centuries the hotel was a hospital and an orphanage . Wasn’t thrilled with the restaurant , but that of course is a matter of taste. All in all , I enjoyed the 3 night stay , using it as a base to visit Perugia (30 minutes drive) and Assisi (also 30 minutes). Just plan the parking locations near the major sights , otherwise , it’s an arduous……

“Very nice hotel and excellent breakfast options. Would have been nice if the spa facilities had been available for hotel residents at a more reasonable cost. Shower cubicle was quite small and room was next to the lift so a little noisy at times.”

“Only stayed for one night, but it was an enjoyable stay. As others have noted, you check in at the restaurant and then are directed to the door which leads to the staircase up to the hotel. We arrived before check in time and were just looking to store our luggage before we went up the hills, but as the room was available, the staff allowed us to go right away. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean. The rooms have a mini fridge and toiletries (shampoo/ body wash dispensers)……
