We arrived at night and GPS brought us to a different house(apparently there was a old Hawks Ridge) after a quick panic we contacted Elks Ridge and they were very helpful in getting us to the right location which was one house up the mountain. We received multiple helpful texts from Elks Resort during our stay. Definitely worth renting a cabin through a great company versus VRBO.

The cabin wasn’t ready exactly at check in which was alittle hard after traveling so many hours but as soon as we walked in it smelled clean and was beautiful! The kitchen didn’t have as many kitchen essentials such as plates, cups frying pans and such if you plan on cooking your entire stay. And The only tub down stairs didn’t have a tub plug which was a-little hard trying to bathe little ones .But over all we loved our stay and would recommend it to anyone vacationing in the area! It was very close to Gatlinburg and 20 ish minutes to Pigeon Forge. We loved the secludedness of the cabin especially after a long day in the crowded town. The views are outrageously beautiful!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Cabin is in a great location- off by itself- with great views. The road is very steep with lots of curves- so beware if anyone in your party gets carsick easily.. requested more pillow cases for the extra pillows and they were brought out immediately- I prefer softer pillows- which they didn’t have. Kitchen well stocked- would be nice to have some salt and pepper packets available and a few coffee pods(although they did state these weren’t included) the bathrooms were stocked with one roll of toilet paper so keep that in mind based on your length of stay- could use some hooks in the bathroom to hang towels. Hot tub was nice at the end of a long day! The master bed was very comfy- the others not as much. Spotty WiFi if you’re needing that- Beautiful views- would definitely stay again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Hawks Ridge was perfect for our family of 6. We have 4 high school/college kids. The boys each had their own bedrooms on the lower level and shared a bathroom. The two bedrooms upstairs each had their own bathrooms. The cabin was very clean and had everything you could want. The views were amazing! Rolling farmland and mountains as described. We were happy with the gas grill and fire pit as those were additions not described. It was great to have a screened porch and rockers on the deck to enjoy the view. The only thing we would change is the bright LED light bulbs in the living and dining rooms. The twinkle-lighted tree in the living room gave it a cozy feel. We enjoyed hiking, the Tuckaleechee Caverns (go to this if you are in the area), Mountain Roller Coasters, Anakeesta, the Titanic Museum, and nights at the cabin playing pool, games, and going in the hot tub. We went out to lunch each day and made breakfast and dinner at the cabin. One night we picked up Bennetts Pit BBQ Family Fest to Go. It was a great easy inexpensive meal! The winding road up to the cabin is beautiful! We would recommend this cabin and Elk Spring Resort. This is our 2nd time staying with ESR and the communication and cabins are great.

Peaceful mountainside retreat just minutes from the city

Reviewer Comments: This was a very nice cabin, only 20 minutes from Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge, with loads of room to spread out in, and great views of the valley. The amenities, like washer/dryer were used and appreciated, and the hot tub was a bonus. Wifi was slow, but this was expected being in the mountains. The biggest complaint was the broken window lock in the master bathroom. It was known because there was a piece of rebar in the track to keep it shut, but there was still enough room for it to open fully. The Keurig was broken - it would turn on, but it would immediately say low/no water or descale. Beyond those two things, it was an enjoyable stay.

The cabin is updated and has everything that you'd need and more. The gas fireplace put out amazing heat, which was great in the morning. We also really enjoyed the deck and screened in porch. We loved the walking trail on the property and the view of the valley. The property is private and very quiet in a good location. We'll be back!

Once at the cabin, it's a great property. The kitchen cabinetry needs urgent updating and the cutlery, pots, pans and other kitchen utensils need updating. Other than that, the cabin is well equipped, modern, clean, comfortable and appealing.

The cabin was nice but lacked a few kitchen items like a blender, measuring cups, and a few other things but other wise very well equipped. One of the bedrooms did not have a closet but only a dresser and it had personal construction items in some of the drawers. The sheets and towels were awful but this was not the cabin's fault but the company Elk Springs Resorts gets their linens from. Felt like we were getting an exfoliation every time we got out of the shower and toweled off. Again has nothing to do with cabin but linen company. All in all it was a great stay and a nice cabin.

The privacy and view was the icing on the cake! We would stay there again for sure. A few "nit picks" I'll mention: 1- the TVs were very difficult to get set-up for the DirecTV channels. Was only able to get one of the bedroom TVs working for the satellite channels. Ended up just watching the internet streaming channels. 2- there were a few minor house keeping items . . . . the outside area by the hot tub had some empty beverage cans, some of the kitchen wares weren't clean and had to be washed before using.

You could tell that maybe it hadn't been used in awhile there were a few small things such *** a hole or two in a screened in porch and a hornets nest that could have been taken care of. Please know that is me NIT PIICKING the house is lovely. The screened in dinning porch is a HUGE benefit for beautiful nights. The hot tub was clean as well as everything else. We had an issue of not having any internet our week. We were slightly reimbursed for the inconvenience and the techs they had come out to attempt to help were so kind and wonderful. They weren't able to help but were a pleasure.

We traveled as a family of five, including my mother and our autistic teenage daughter who absolutely loves the outdoors—especially mountains, waterfalls, and cozy fire pits. This trip exceeded all of our expectations.From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the stunning mountain views right from the cabin. We were treated to breathtaking sunrises each morning and peaceful sunsets in the evening, all from the comfort of the deck. The location was ideal—close enough for easy travel to local attractions and scenic spots, yet tucked away enough to feel like a true mountain retreat.The cabin itself was extremely clean, well-maintained, and offered plenty of space for all six of us to spread out and relax. Our daughter particularly enjoyed spending time outside near the fire pit and taking in the natural surroundings—it was truly therapeutic for her.Resort staff were incredibly helpful and responsive throughout our stay. Any questions or minor issues we had were quickly addressed with professionalism and kindness. Their communication made everything seamless, from booking to checkout.We couldn’t have asked for a better first trip to Tennessee. Hawks Ridge gave us a perfect home base, and we created memories our family will cherish for years. Highly recommended for families, especially those looking for a peaceful, scenic getaway in the Smokies.
