“Everything was nice”

“Beautiful historic inn by the river. Close to downtown Damascus. We were able to walk to our bike shuttle to get on the creeper. Nice restaurants within walking distance and the hotel in the restaurant was really good. Loved our room and the breakfast in the morning was delicious. The lady in charge of breakfast is a gem. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. You will love this place!”

“Good”

“The room was clean, well appointed with everything you'd want in a motel room. Very nice.”

“The mattress on the bed was excellent, though the pillows could be better. The interior spaces were full of a huge array of fine antiques. The exterior spaces are under construction or in need of maintenance. Breakfast was a true Southern experience and a good fit if you are planning to bike the Virginia Creeper. The bathrooms are shared among the guests with the exception of the Honeymoon Suite, which is huge. The estate is minutes from the trail and the outfitters who support bikers and……

“Our stay was most enjoyable. Accomodations were great. Coffee 24/7! Our hosts were friendly. The downtown location allowed us access to a grocery store, eateries, souvenirs, etc. We will return.”

“good”

“We were locked out after the first night. Room not cleaned, smelled of dog and smoking, tub stopper broken, staff made excuses referencing "Covid???" Walked away even though 2nd night was paid. RUN, RUN, RUN.”

“Nice workout room and delicious breakfast. Quality place.”

“Check in lady was helpful and very friendly. As soon as we got there the elevator was broke down, stuck on second floor. She was trying her best, running back and forth up the steps to fix it. No luck on that. We were only on the second floor, so not so bad getting up to the room. We got to the room, and although the bed was made, there were gross stains and hairs on the comforter, which we were told they normally don’t wash them unless they look dirty. Well….obviously nobody looked at this one.……

“Loved this hotel. Highly recommend. On premises bar & restaurant for breakfast & dinner. Staff was great. Definitely staying here again & any other Delta Marriott hotels we may come across in our travels.”

“Rooms not properly maintained.”

“Thie was a safe and quiet property. Our only problem was the throw rugs. I am almost blind, and I coldn;t see them and kept tripping on them. Otherwise, the property was perfect.”

“The room was very clean and quiet. My only problem was I wish people would understand handicap people's needs. My mom couldn't take a shower because was not handicap accessible. And only king rooms have walk in showers. My mom travels with my husband and I and we are not all sleeping together.”

“What a great place! Close enough to everything yet nice and private.Amazing fishing access.Great accommodations, with coffee and coffee maker! The laundry was a big plus. The hosts were very helpful and very knowledgeable and gracious.I will be back”
