Our room in an old Palazzo had original frescos on the ceiling, a small balcony overlooking the city wall and surrounding countryside, and comfortable furniture and bed. The location is quite close to the Campo (central plaza in Siena) and we were made to feel very welcome. Check-in instructions were sent to us proactively and suggestions for restaurants and sights were also sent. I'm really glad we chose to stay here!

Apartment is ok. Location is nice. There were five of us who rented the apartment, but the apartment only had equipment for four. The pool and the surrounding area were poorly cleaned. This brings down the overall impression a lot unfortunately.

The property offers reasonable value due to its central location for the price. Otherwise, it is an aging property that desperately needs renovations and upgrades. It doesn't feel antique, but tired. The staff was indifferent--late to open for breakfast, forgetting to buy cheese for breakfast (a staple), not setting up our room properly... My children didn't find the sofa beds comfortable. Looking back, I'd probably pay more and just stay elsewhere.

Odd check in, mixed bag.

Check in was 3-7. We arrived about 4:30. The doors were locked and there was no response when we rang the bell. We had to go to the bar next door, where they gave me the personal number to call. He showed up a few minutes later. On the plus side, The room was relatively large for Italy. Breakfast was included. On the down side Furniture was old. Breakfast was sparse. The proprietor barely acknowledged us. Would not choose this place again.

This property is not n a great location for dinning and exploring the town and attractions. Note that you cannot park near the property. You need to find parking and walk some distance on cobblestone to get to your room.

We were in room “Marguerite” and were amazed by the hand painted, domed ceiling, as well as the antiques and period decor. We enjoyed being close to the Plaza di Duomo, as well as being on a street with many bars and restaurants. We enjoyed a lovely dinner down the street. Pickup and delivery of our car was done by a local garage, and the garage operator helped us with our luggage. The only disappointment was breakfast was not the best we’ve had during our stays.

Great location, decent room

We booked the family room as we wanted the balcony and view, and what a view it was. 10/10 for that. Room was spacious, great central location close to plenty of bars and restaurants. The property listing mentions massages and a full spa service but this is not the case at all, we asked and there aren’t any spa services available so this was misleading. Also when it mentions toiletries there was handsoap available, but no shampoo, shower gel etc so be sure to bring your own. Staff were friendly and checkin was easy.

The room is nice. It large and the bed is comfortable. The breakfast was simple but fine. Beware, however, that the street below is very noisy and the noise continues well into the night. I was there three week nights and it sounded the bar songs and street parades were nearly right outside my window not quieting down before 3:00 am. I learned from friends this is typical. Consequently, a great location if you plan to be part of the “party street” but not good if you need to get up in the morning and want to sleep before 3:30 am.

If you are expecting to sleep in a castle room that looks like the picture you see on the website, you will be quite frustrated. The place is actually a backpackers low budget type of place that has nothing to do with the gorgeous picture and web site description and the worse part of this already horrible experience, it gets even worse if you ask for a refund.

I booked this property whilst staying at another property on my honeymoon because I didn’t think we were going to be able to stay an additional night. While I’m sure this property is fine to stay at, it’s very disappointing they wouldn’t give me at least a partial refund and sell the room to someone else for the night to be able to make the full rate back. I explained the situation thoroughly and they didn’t seem to care.

Small B&B, convenient location

Pantaneto Palazzo Bulgarini is a small B&B located near Il Campo, the main piazza in Sienna. Our room was very large with a beautiful 18th century handpainted ceiling. We had a small balcony with a great view of the surrounding countryside. The décor in our room was not great – a modern gray sofa that did not go with the antique wood furniture, a large, modern ceiling lamp that detracted from the 18th century ceiling mural (a chandelier would go much better). While the room was clean, it needs better upkeep. The shower head was broken, the shower stall would clog, the shelf above the sink was missing. Breakfast had limited choices. Michael was pleasant and helpful but only around in the morning. There is no front desk and you have to notify your arrival time.

I was underwhelmed by this B&B. The amenities were lacking. There were no drinking glasses in the room, there were no tissues in the room, there was only one tiny bar of soap for showers and the sink and it was never replenished there was only one roll of toilet paper. Just the basic things you would expect to find in a B&B for this price. The house keeper never cleaned our room the second night and we didn’t have any toilet paper or fresh towels. The breakfast was sparse and mediocre for a B&B. The staff were never around. And not very eager to be helpful or friendly. Overall I don’t think very much effort has gone into making this a desirable place to stay.

Boa sorte para subir as escadas com malas. A foto não reflete a realidade. Tudo muito antigo. Espaço do café da manhã bem sujo, garrafas de água abertas em cima da mesa de uma dia para outro. Fiquei com nojo de comer qualquer coisa neste lugar.

este lugar no es un hotel , aparte no hay acceso con automóvil , zona peatonal con mucho ruido haciendo imposible el poder dormir el que tiene el sueño ligero , no hay personal para recibirte , tienes que llamar a un teléfono , acceder al inmueble y luego cojer las llaves de un buzón ,no hay ascensor , total es un piso , convertido en una especie de pensión , no recomendado para personas de medio alto o alto nivel de ingresos por falta de facilidades y comodidades, lo único positivo es el técho con pinturas del siglo XVIII

Situación estratégica, muy cómodo

La habitación donde nos alojamos era perfecta para familias, con una amplia cama de matrimonio compartiendo espacio con un sofá-cama de dos plaza, y en la habitación contigua otra cama. Mucho espacio, buena aclimatación y un lujo poder estar en el centro de la ciudad viendo esas vistas por la ventana. Personal muy simpático y eficiente.

The young man who runs the place was delightful, helpful and very friendly. When we arrived he offered to upgrade us to a suite with a private bath for only an extra 10 Euros a night, which was a nice surprise. The location is prefect and the views from the windows of the room were beautiful.
