Nice experience

Never expect to live in an church, but in a pretty good experience. Especially can live in the siena town. However, the way to hotel take me some time because there is lot of forbidding sign in the town that visitor is confused.

They did not disclose that there is no lift. It was a 55 step climb to our room- and we are elderly. We had requested the deluxe room - 8 months in advance- and assumed we would be given a good room. Besides being on the top floor we did not have a balcony and the window was small and difficult to open. The room was set up sleep 3 people -it was a family room not a deluxe room. it definitely was not the deluxe pictured. When I asked for a different room- cleaner and more as pictured- I was told they did not have any available. All the deluxe rooms were scheduled for use. I found it strange that even though I booked months ago, the better rooms were being handed out to recent requests. Was this because I booked through a third party? The furnishings in the room I was given were a jumble of old, damaged castoff furniture- not antiques Nothing seemed to have been considered in decorating. It was just provide a bed and bathroom. . The floor was cracked, the bathroom had a prefab shower stall that was ringed with mold. The toilet was stuck between the sink - with towel bar- and wall -that didn’t allow you room to maneuver. We have stayed in other converted convents - but those had been refurbished properly. The pictures on line did not reflect what you were given. Such a shame that a historic property is being allowed to disintegrate and sadder still that they are scamming people to stay there. The redeeming factor was the lovely breakfast staff who tried hard to please.

Outstanding in every way. The only issue are the stairs: two long floors carrying heavy luggage are not doable for older people, people with mobility problems or just exhausted tourists. We would atill come back to this charming hotel.

If you’re looking for a charming, not your typical hotel, this is it! From convenient parking, to the staff, the breakfast, the quaint rooms, and overall atmosphere, we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay in Siena. The old-world charm of this former monastery just added to the experience. If you’re looking for a great place to stay in Siena, we highly recommend this place. And Siena itself was the perfect place from which to explore the rest of Tuscany by car.

Quaint older hotel with large room with a great view. Excellent breakfast. Had a nice outdoor courtyard to sit and read or have a coffee or cocktail. Nice staff.

Schönes Hotel in einem ehemaligen Kloster

Zimmer, sauber und ausreichend. Personal super. Allerdings sollte man körperlich nicht eingeschränkt sein. Es gibt keinen Fahrstuhl nur eine große lange Treppe zu den Etagen. Mein Zimmer beinhaltete eine kleine Terasse. Allerdings waren im Zimmer vom Flur auch noch einige Stufen zum eigentlichen Schlafraum vorhanden. Wie gesagt wer gut zu Fuß ist hat keine Probleme. Wie die anderen Zimmer beschaffen sind kann ich nicht sagen. Es gibt auch einen Treppenlift für Rollsuhlfahrer, nur um an diesen zu gelangen müsste man auch ersteinmal ein paar Stufen überwinden. Ansonsten ist alles Fußläufig gut zu erreichen. Dad Hotel hat auch zwei Parkplätze, dieser sind kostenpflichtig 15 Euro pro Tag.

A place we want to go back to.

The Chiostro was a great find. The people are really helpful and friendly. The breakfast team do a great job and are really keen to go the extra mile. The room has a fantastic fresco (not the only one in the hotel) on the wall and many of the ceilings have artwork. Sitting in the cloisters reading or sipping some wine was so relaxing. Upstairs you find a sort of mini museum in a meeting room that looks like it has not changed in a century or two. If you like history, this is a good place to stay.
