Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our recent visit in May/June 2024 was the second time we've stayed in V39. They've recently remodeled both bathrooms and updated flooring throughout the bathrooms and bedrooms. It's very nice overall and close to the pool. Being in a tropical environment, certain pests are expected. We saw a cockroach at one point and it appeared that there was termite feces in the cabinets that kept coming back even after cleaning. The front desk couldn't identify it and wouldn't move us to another unit or have an exterminator come in while we were there. Hopefully they were able to fix the infestation after we left.

From checking in to leaving was very easy. This place was large and had everything we needed. It was clean and near several places we enjoyed going. The beach did have a large waterfront with chairs for first come first serve use and tents that were available to rent. Parking was easy and the space was covered.

Lanai table and chairs are Amish wood-every other villa has appropriate furnishings.Love the resort location and beach. Property is well maintained. Management helpful and courteous

The four minute walk to the uncrowded beach for the resort was perfect. The beach was wide and perfect as I remember last being in Siesta Key 24 years ago. Villa was clean. Beds were comfortable. I would make a recommendation for an update, as the couch and recliner are at the end of their useful life - not a lot of support, but didn't stop us from enjoying our stay. We didn't have to ask for any help, but appears the management staff were active and visible during our stay. I liked that our entrance was closed, so you had to drive all the way around the horseshoe to get to our villa. It is one building away from Midnight Pass so their is some road noise if sitting outside, but it didn't bother me, I liked the activity. We ordered bikes from Siesta Key Bike and Kayak. Ate at My Village Pub (a lot of TVs for sports), Broken Egg for breakfast (staple of SK), Island Tap House and Mellow Mushroom (off island). All were great.We would recommend and stay again! Thanks.

Homey Vacation Rental

The location next to the pool was also great for our napping niece! Our favorite part was the beach area and being able to walk and watch the sunset every evening. We hope to return soon!

We stumbled upon Island House Beach Resort and Villa 39 and so glad we did. The location is awesome for the beach and getting around other parts of Sarasota. The game room and pool, which is right across from V39, are wonderful. The pool area is relaxing and the pool itself very clean and the perfect temperature. V39 was clean and had what we needed. Baths were nice, everything worked well. Great huge TV in living room. we wish the rocking chair would have been a recliner instead. Plenty of bath towels and the beds were comfortable. It would be nice if the beds in the guest bedroom could be joined upon request to provide a bigger bed. The few times I went to the front office it was closed which was a tad frustrating. Luckily we were able to figure things out and did not have any real issues. Loved the loungers at the beach and there were plenty of them even during spring break. If we return to Sarasota we would stay here again.

We have friends who, also, come at the same time and have met some of the neighbors who are there at the same time. So, we have a great time.We notice and appreciate updates to V39 every year. This year new carpet was added to the bedrooms and a new table and chairs for the porch and new bar stools. The villa is always very clean but I do think the tile floors need a professional cleaning. The management and maintenance team are always helpful. We always look forward to returning.

Clean unit, great location!

We really enjoyed our stay at Island House Beach Resort. The villa was very clean and well equipped. The beach is just a short walk away, and the pool is directly across the street. The resort is just a short drive away from several restaurants and stores. Check in and check out was a simple, easy process. Highly recommend!
