"Great location all the way in to the plantation. The dolphin show was constant - we suspect it was because this house is so close to the cut. The thermostat for the top floor is located in the bedroom one floor below (on the kitchen floor). The house is next to a beach access that gets constant use. If you set up right in front of the house expect people not to walk as far away as they should and set up closer than necessary because they’re lazy! Also lots of new construction just outside of schooner landing is adding 3 beach front houses and about 10 second row houses. The house itself is a little old and a little quirky but very comfortable and well appointed. They seem to have replaced the oven with smaller units so large sheet pans can only fit in vertically."

"Excellent stay at "above the cut". This house had so much to offer, the location was great and the host company was great to respond quickly with answers to a few questions! We rented kayaks and went across the cut to look for shells. Walked to the beach on the gulf side for beach days and fished off the docks catching hundreds of fish (mostly catfish and trout). The pool was excellent and cleaned serveral times during our stay (we had a little tropical storm that blew in debris). House was so spacious and everyone had their own quarters to retreat to. Decor as beautiful. Kitchen was amazing to cook and store items for the week. The views from the back were amazng with sunsets over the bay!"

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Really enjoyed our stay at the Freebird, great easy walk too the beach and location, quite and very peaceful, the home overall was great had everything we needed it was stocked with plenty of necessities and clean and smelt good when we arrived home was amazing, it could use a little maintenance,some of the lighting didn't work in the home, some of the furniture had tears in it, some of the siding under the house was broke and laying out under house away from wall, the door handle on the screen door too pool didnt work and was broken and could not keep it closed. Overall I can see us staying here for many years too come!!!"

"Exposed unpainted trim and cabinets throughout the house. Lots of steps, dirty dishes in kitchen cabinets, rusty grill, no gas in tank, large broken drawer in kitchen, dirty pool, some beds were missing bedspreads. Mildewed shower curtain, a/c vents dripping onto loveseat. OLD pool and porch furniture. Overgrown plants, entire property needs maintenance. Priced too high. Feel like we overpaid due to current condition. Great location near the cut, beach was great ! Rental company was responsive when we requested assistance."
