「The staff who run the property are very welcoming and happy to help. The property itself is in top class condition and trumps any hotel room. Another highlight is the breakfast, which was included in my rate, which include tea or cafetière coffee, a fruit platter, cereals and a cooked breakfast (e.g. salmon and scrambled eggs on granary bread) with many options available. I would highly recommend a stay here and will come again if I am ever back in Southend.」

「We had the downstairs courtyard room which was wonderful. Tastefully decorated and immaculately clean. The room was at the back so very quiet yet within a short walk of the high street with all its lovely shops, restaurants and pubs. We were the only guests on a Sunday night so had our breakfast in the courtyard. We had a wonderful time and would stay again.」

「Not worth the money for such small rooms. Prettier villages without horrendous traffic. Would not recommend.」

「Room was freezing cold, no heating on, kettle didn't work. They did offer to change our room but other room was also unheated. As check in is 2pm.We checked in at 4.40pm 14th Feb, room was icy cold. Hot water was temperamental. Room should have bern warm & water hot, Hubby had cold shower i gave that a miss.should be heated by then」
