Personable and authentic staff; sleep in the jungle and get to view everything (sloths, monkeys, etc) others pay guides to see; footsteps from a stunning beach, this is a truly an all in one Costa Rica experience. But as the website notes, this is for those that want a more raw experience, so don’t expect the hottest showers or finest linens. But you are very well taken care of and staff are very responsive. They’ll provide the inside scoop on trusted contacts for excursions. If you want to help support local, book now. Andrea prepares a home cooked breakfast each morning with locally sourced food items (cacao, eggs, coffee even the peanut butter is from local farmers) and has all the connections you could need for building a holiday you’ll never forget. "Not ocean views for the room"

"Beach was 400M walk or so. We could hear the thump of the sea from our unit. That apart it was very peaceful. The units are absolutely “well appointed”! Each has their own private area in really pretty sub-tropical gardens. Carlos was helpful and very personable."

"This place is AMAZING! You will feel as though you’re in the middle of the jungle even though civilization is nearby. The private beach is beautiful, you can fall asleep to the sound of the waves crashing. There’s so much nature and animals to see all around, you’ll wake up to the sound of so many birds beautifully singing at you. It’s like out of a movie. The hot tub at the beach house is a phenomenal amenity and the staff is so friendly. This is our second time staying here and God willing next time we’re in the area we’ll stay here again. "

"Pool , staff every thing was great. I wish I had realized There was a small store almost across the street. I also wish they had beach chairs. Take a small soft collapsible ice chest for the beach. I felt very safe there and traveling around the area. Rent a rav 4 or similar. Go beach hopping , explore off the beaten path a little. Not difficult to do. Plug your phone in to the car. You will be fine. "

"the property was beautiful and convenient to a great beach. selvin's restaurant at the beach is fantastic. awakened by a troop of howler monkeys right outside our window almost every morning. one issue. although, not a deal breaker. the road was a busier than we expected. traffic noise morning and evening as people leave and return home."

"Amazing ocean and jungle views! Greatly appreciated the extra large balcony and seating areas, especially during the weeks long bout of rainy weather. :)Host was always gracious and responded very quickly to all communications. We were a little concerned upon arrival as the ground floor was under construction repairs and it took us a bit to understand that that portion of the house was not part of our rental. From the description we had assumed that we would have the whole building. The rental is actually the whole 2nd storey and was very lovely and we had everything we needed for our extended stay :) Highly recommend! Steve and his team are awesome! We have fingers crossed that the laundry room repairs will be complete and available for next year. :) "
