Our family of 3 had more than enough room to spread out, the kitchen had enough pots and pans/utensils for cooking. The washer and dryer worked great, and our unit had plenty of towels! The staff at Bahia Mar - super friendly and helpful. We rented a grill, which was very clean, and staff set it up for us. Even with a storm coming through, there was plenty to do on the island, and we took advantage of opportunity to rest and watch TV when it rained. The sun deck and pool were perfect when the beach was too rough for swimming, so we really didn’t feel like we missed out on anything! Beds were very comfortable, and living room furniture was as well. Staff of Rent of Padre was terrific, check in/out was seamless and easy. I’d definitely stay here again!

Great Location but Condo needs some updating

Have stayed at the same property previously but not at this condo. The location and beach access are fantastic. Private balconies and beach access are wonderful. Ability to rent a canopy is great too. The condo was pretty clean with exception of carpet being pretty stained. There was a heavy must odor upon arrival, improved with turning AC down/cooler but still present. Washer and dryer is really not a very efficient process and is hidden in the AC closet. It never really got anything completely dry. We had a roach in the property one night, which I know can happen in Texas, but this was not the outdoor type. The building appears to be needing a lot of maintenance on the outside. Leaking water from one unit and poorly lit stairways.

The condo had everything that you would need for a good beach vacation including beach chairs. The tile floors had gummy like dirtiness in the living room and kitchen area that you could tell that a swifter like mop was used versus a real mop. It also had a mild musty smell. The small washer and dryer was handy to wash laundry before leaving.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: A family vacation long overdue. We played on the beach, ran to the pool, and back to the beach again. The condo was the perfect place. True it doesn't have a beach view, but what it does have is quiet. The perfect base camp, we enjoyed the showers, the beds, and the air conditioning. Our refrigerator stopped working, but a quick call to the manager, and we were met with a cooler and a large bag of ice for the night. The next morning, the fridge worked, and our vacation was back on! We were very sad to leave the condo after a week, and we are already making plans to go back next year!

Perfect for our family vacation! The amenities are great, the community is well taken care of and the location is fantastic. The only down side was that the condo had a weird stale smell when we first got in, but nothing a little febreze couldn’t fix. Some instructions on how to use the TVs would also help as all the TVs seemed to work differently. These do not affect my 5 star review as overall this place was a great fit!!
