Ruined Vacation
We booked this home on VRBO. I was in communication with the property manager days before our arrival in regard to early check in. On the day of check in at 11:30 we got a call saying sorry you were double booked and that he allowed the other family early check in. We had 3 people that flew in that morning and 3 people that drove in that day with a boat. He actually blamed VRBO saying that they didn't sync his calendar. THAT WAS A LIE! VRBO was very sympathetic but because there were no other properties available could not help us with accomodations. I list a home on VRBO and it is impossible to double book a stay unless you do it on the side/not through the service. What was to be a great vacation turned into a nightmare. Please beware when booking this property, we were left high and dry on a major holiday weekend. We were distraught, taken off guard, and very sad that what was supposed to be a great vacation turned into a nightmare. The owner/property manager did not care at all about our situation. I was told "oh well, sorry"
