The light switch would turn on/off another light in a completely different part of the apartment. This was extremely frustrating and was known about when they showed us the room. There are plenty of shops, restaurants and bars nearby. We got access to an outdoor pool at Manta Beach Club just across the street, which was also quite nice, even though we could not use it due to the weather.
