“The place was great to spend time in and relax. Walking in the new forest is just across the road. Great to just be able to switch off for a while.
The staff were all nice. The food was nice. Room was clean and well equiped.

“We loved this place, after a lot of stress we wanted to find somewhere special to take our minds off of it all and here was a fantastic find! The spa, staff, food, location absolutely brilliant! Highly recommend and they upgraded us which was a treat (Thank you). It is a really special place and sometimes the deers flock at the front which was very pretty!”

“Stayed for a couple of nights, wish we could have stayed longer! Room was bigger than expected, clean and lots of light, comfy bed,. Food delicious, cocktails and drinks great, staff friendly and welcoming and a besutiful setting by the river and lush gardens. Hope to return again. ”
“So glad to have discovered this place- off the main roads. The whole experience was great- staff were lovely, dogs were made welcome too! Like stepping into an Agatha Christie movie, beautiful furnishings of an era in history. The grounds were well maintained and we loved the Monet Garden - with deer resting near the pond, all very magical.

“If The Ivy did hotels this is what they would be like. Beautiful decor, quirky layout and lovely hidden garden. Room felt luxurious and the bed was super comfy. We ate in the garden which was very relaxed, such a pretty setting. The breakfast was superb, eggy brioche with bacon was delicious and the continental selection was very high end. Latte and Americano coffees included which we've noticed that some hotels have started charging for - not good when you are paying a premium for your stay.……
