Great place for family

Great place for a family. On the beach and across the street from the board walk. Plenty of places to eat. Ice cream and candy shops with several gift shops across the street.

Had the pesticide person just walk in and spray without letting us know who he was. Had the air conditioning people come at 8 am and did not know they were coming. Sinking ship

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Just returned from surf song. Been vacationing there over the years from 1989. Our room 224 was excellent as expected however and this breaks my heart. The pool and exterior has gone down. Arriving Friday we hopped into the clear pool and enjoying every minute. Saturday we noticed it getting cloudy by Sunday the pool was a disguising. A lady we met took a water sample to have tested. Came back no chlorine, nothing stabilizer. No chemicals at all. After many calls and threats of public health because children swimming could get ear, eye or staf infections the pool company shows up. Their pool tech admitted to my daughter the chlorine ran out Friday and he knew it. When the tollivers ran surf song, Steve would be there every morning vacuuming and testing. No one vacuumed once while we were there. Now an independent runs the pool and doesn’t give a hoot about our health. On top of that the elevator broke down with us inside. Scary with a child. The shuffle board is taped off needing much repairs and some of the umbrellas need replacing. The garbage area was so gross (even for a garbage area)with birds flying everywhere picking out over flowing bags. (The movie the Birds) Seemed not emptied for a while. The last thing steve or Tim would do is lock up the pool at 9:30. Well let me let you the hollering and party in the pool was annoying after 10:30. This went on till after 11.There is no outside management onsite, so it’s a free for all. I think the Board of Directors need to reevaluate their decision to remove the Tolliers. Ran like a well oiled engine. Now it’s a sinking ship but I hear management knows people will rent and then find out after they have their places rented. I’m really going to have to think hard about booking again. ☹️

This is the fourth time in 10 years we have stayed here at Surfsong and have rented room 224 as well as others. We had two Rooms rented at Surfsong And one family in each of the condos on either side of Surfsong. We will definitely come back again.

Great location and great price

Location was perfect, within walking distance of John's Pass shops and restaurants. Our condo had an umbrella and a few beach chairs and cooler we were able to use at the beach which was fantastic! Only thing I didn't end up using was the pool because it was heated and too warm for June :)
