「So far was a good hotel for stay in Hilo. The only thing was bad experience, there was fire emergency alarm at 3:00 am to wake up every body and let’s waking down from stairs. Next day was no explaining what happened that night. 」

「Beautifully appointed, amazingly comfortable beds, the views from every area of this hotel are lovely on top of being a green environmentally sustainable space, this hotel has it all. Budget conscious & Family friendly.」

「The building is really aged and many tiny bugs' corpses in room. 24h hot water and no AC. Breakfast included, like coffee and donuts. It would be a reasonable choice for someone who spend the whole day outside of hotel and would just take a sleep there, plus save some money. Staff there is pretty nice.」

「 It was my first time staying at the property. The shared bathroom and shared kitchen was concern at first, but I got used to after the first night. On the first night, there was another guest sleeping on the couch in the shared living room. That MF snored like a loud dying pig. The walls are not that thick and I could hear him from my room. But, liked that the room opened to the balcony. The room, Room 2, where I stayed was close to a highway so the traffic noise was bearable, but the...

「It is a very interesting place. There is no air conditioning, so you hear all of the nature sounds - most of which I couldn't identify. It is unbelievably clean!!! The owner has much pride in it. The wife shared with me all of her dreams for the place - including a hot tub, an additional garden space, a space for chickens and an office for her.」

「If you are a backcountry camper, this is for you! The hut is situated in primitive setting of rain forest. You can imagine a big tent but in wood sitting in the woods. I like the nature surrounding and the art deco. However, lack of electricity and a modern bathroom is a big downside. The host is friendly, responsive, and helpful. However, descriptions of the property and instructions to the property aren't sufficiently clear.」
