The property is just beautiful, the staff taking care of the building and the park perfectly. The receptionist was very nice and helpful. We had a great breakfast here. The lady at the kitchen was super nice too. The room was clean, cozy, had everything we needed. It was a perfect stay.

This place was cool. It is in what used to be a mental hospital. It’s supposedly haunted (I didn’t see any ghosts), so if you find that and the history interesting, you’ll like this place. The property is nice, the rooms are clean and comfortable. The building is very interesting. There are some original doors from when it was a hospital and prison. It’s so cool. Very nice hotel with friendly staff.

It is a very old Hotel, nicely renovated. As a result check-in is confusing & up many stairs. Not very friendly at check-in, but friendly when we left. We were away for a couple weeks and stayed at 5-6 hotels, and this was only one not to have complementary coffee in the morning & and surprisingly was the worst coffee we had.

It is a beautiful, historic building on a campus of rolling hills..walking distance to town. It couldn't have been more lovely or the staff more friendly and helpful.

The property was clean and welcoming. The room was somewhat small (not unexpected in an historic building), We enjoyed our stay, and will consider the Blackburn when returning to Staunton in the future. One note for future guests, the floors on the first level can be quite chilly, so slippers are a must.

Cool property, helpful staff, comfortable beds. Unfortunately had to switch rooms due to sheets not being clean. Frustrating after a long day of travel. But was handled promptly by staff on duty. Only other complaint is the morning noise. Historic old hardwood floors but if you’re on the 1st floor you wake up hearing all movement above you.

Large room. Huge bathroom. Bed is fairly comfortable. TV is all the way across the room and small-ish for the distance. Staff very helpful and friendly. Unbelievably quiet in the hallways and the room. Imagine a cross between staying in an upscale hotel meets staying at your friend's house; that's the vibe I got. It's all about the venue, but they don't promote the history of the building much. Worth the price I paid but not much more. Definitely will return, though.

Beautiful venue but my stay was difficult because what ever air freshener or cleaner they use was severely overpowering. It caused me to wake with a headache. The room was nice the staff was nice. But I probably would not book again because of the synthetic fragrance being so overpowering. It was in the hallway leading to my room and in my room also. It didn’t smell like a cleaner but more of an air freshener.

The staff is very friendly. Room is clean and neat. Our favorite surprise was the Art Gallery on the 3rd floor. Beautiful! The grounds are so well manicured, lovely to take a walk.

Unusual space in its current incarnation. Nicely appointed, very comfortable, cupola is an experience to climb and look out from, supports excellent local artists, deep history. Currently very nicely Maintained.

My room was spacious. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was particularly nice with plenty of room. I appreciate a shower with good water pressure, and my bathroom had that. Love the view from the cupola and walk surrounding it.
