Charming Vintage Beach Cottage on East Main Street – Your Perfect Coastal Getaway!

Welcome to our cozy vintage beach cottage, nestled on East Main Street just steps away from the sandy shores of Sunset Beach. Whether you prefer a leisurely walk (just 3 minutes), a brisk run (less than 2 minutes), or a relaxed stroll, you'll find yourself with your toes in the sand in no time.

Our cottage boasts an inviting open floor plan, where the kitchen seamlessly flows into the living area, making it the ideal gathering spot for your family and friends before and after your beach adventures. You can relax on the spacious sectional or gather around the farmhouse table for meals and games. With four bedrooms, including two master suites, and two additional bedrooms sharing a third bath, our home is perfect for two young families or for bringing along grandparents. Sleeping arrangements include three queen beds and a bunk room with a twin over full bunk bed. LINENS ARE NOT PROVIDED, but we will be happy to supply a list of linen rentals in the area. Each bedroom is equipped with its own TV for added convenience.

The cottage features delightful coastal colors and décor throughout, creating a cheerful and relaxed atmosphere. All of our bathrooms have been completely renovated with modern vanities and beautiful tile work.

Enjoy the spacious front porch that spans the entire length of the house, offering a perfect spot to listen to the soothing waves or people watch year-round. The back porch provides a lovely view of the canal, adding to the charm of our coastal retreat. And yes, we're pet-friendly, so you can bring your furry family members along for the fun!

For those looking to explore the area, our cottage is conveniently located on Main and 6th, just a short walk from shops and the delicious Sunset Slush in the heart of the island. To the east, you can try your hand at surf fishing while gazing out at Ocean Isle Beach. Venture west beyond 40th Street, and you'll find yourself on the pristine and undeveloped Bird Island Preserve, home to the beloved Kindred Spirit mailbox, cherished by generations of Sunset Beach residents and visitors.

If you're in the mood for more adventure, the mainland offers an abundance of golf courses, restaurants, grocery stores, and opportunities for kayak tours and rentals. You can even experience a thrilling Zipline Swamp Tour! Head down to Calabash for riverfront dining, additional shops, or venture further to Little River and beyond.

Our cottage is the perfect coastal escape, offering a blend of vintage charm, modern amenities, and a fantastic location to create lasting memories with your loved ones. And with two outdoor showers, there's no need to call dibs – everyone can enjoy a refreshing rinse after a day at the beach. Lovely Dog Friendly Cottage

This beach house across the street from the beach was exactly as advertised and very clean and cozy! I stayed in the winter and the house was warm and comfortable. The home was well stocked. I will return.

Amazing weekend getaway

Fantastic location on Sunset Beach

Lovely home on 2nd row, across from a beach access and a short walk to the pier, shops, etc. Clean and updated interior. Traveled with 3 teens and each had their own room and space. The outdoor hose broke the very last day and the owners had it fixed within an hour. Highly recommend this house for a relaxing, family beach getaway!

We very much enjoyed our stay - loved: location, view from the back door/deck, fenced area, outdoor shower ! Purposeful items , lots of thought put into the place , seemed the owners really care and actively update. 4 stars for check in Only bc a keypad would be easier but really no biggie. Weekend getaway at Sunset Beach.

The Aloha is such a cozy quaint home. There was more than enough room for the three of us. The owners have done an amazing job with upgrading this more established Sunset Beach home. The house/kitchen is equipped with everything we needed and the location is spectacular with a great view of the inlet and the ocean! We will definitely stay at the Aloha again. Relaxation in Paradise

A much needed get away with the family was made even more special by the wonderful Aloha Home. From the moment we walked in we felt welcomed and relaxed as the beach vibe of the home and it’s location a few steps away from glorious beaches washed over us. The kitchen had everything you could want and the bathrooms were fabulous. The living area was cozy and just right for us And we had lots of laughs around the big dining table. We certainly didn’t want to leave at the end of our stay and we will absolutely return to this Paradise on our doorstep.

Best location!

We spent a week at Aloha and enjoyed every minute! This house is directly across the street from beach access so walk time to get your toes in the sand is less than 5 minutes. The house is somewhat small for 8 people. The living spaces and eating spaces feel pretty tight when 6 adults and 2 kids are all together. The kitchen really needs a few updates (the toaster was really dinky and there’s no garbage disposal) but it had all the basics covered. The biggest plus for us was the location, which if you can’t afford beach front, this is the next best thing!

Family vacation

The cottage appeared clean when we arrived, but sitting down on the couch, realized it was covered in dog hair and pills of dog hair underneath the table next to the couch. The en-suite shower on the west side in the rear of the house leaked all over the floor whenever it was used. The shared bathroom for the two bedrooms for the two bedrooms without an en suite bath was so small and old very sad. The house is listed to sleep eight yet there was only seating for six at the dining room table with no bar or anywhere else to eat except outside downstairs. The whole structure is in bad condition with paint chipped peeling and dirty around the front door, part of the flashing over the front of the house missing this property really needs to be upgraded. I started my vacation vacuuming the dog hair off the couch. The management did bring over two lint rollers.

The best location on sunset beach!

Perfect location, 2nd row at our favorite beach in NC! Directly across from a beach access! A new fenced in area is perfect if you are bringing a four-legged friend! One of the only homes in the island with a fence. This is our second time renting this house and we plan to rent it again!

Perfect Location

Stayed here once before and just love the house & location. Needed a house all bedrooms on 1 level…so Aloha was perfect. Love the living room/kitchen all together. The bathrooms are so nice. Love the fenced in yard. (Except for the HUGE rat snake) The only complaint I have is the 3 queen beds need replacing. Would definitely stay here again if the beds are replaced.

Unit cozy beachy. Across street from beach which we used daily. Wifi spotty. No cable but streaming which was also spotty. Brought linens and towels with us. But no paper towel and or trash bags. Brought 2 rolls toilet paper or would have had to buy that also. Businesses in area very friendly. Better golf courses open to public than we experienced in Florida

A Great Family Vacation

We had an amazing time at this beach rental house! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The house was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had all the comforts of home—plus the bonus of being just steps from the beach.Waking up to the sound of the waves and enjoying morning coffee with a view of the ocean was pure bliss. The outdoor space was perfect for relaxing after a day in the sun, and the kitchen was fully equipped for cooking up our favorite meals.It was the perfect spot for making memories—peaceful, comfortable, and just what we needed. We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a beach escape!

Birthday weekend

Our group met for the weekend to celebrate two birthdays. The place was nice and clean and exactly as described. We had a low country boil one night and the table downstairs was perfect for this. The only thing we found ourselves wishing we had was a fire pit.

Lovely beach house

We appreciated the cleanliness, the well-stocked kitchen, the decor, the location, and the fenced-in yard for our pup. As long-time Sunset Beach visitors, this was definitely one of our favorite places we’ve stayed!
