  • A bright, welcoming apartment; this Swanage retreat could be perfect for you and your loved one. Sleeping two guests, it offers superb, first-floor accommodation for a couple eager to explore this beautiful corner of Dorset, especially if they wish to be within just 250 metres of the town’s sandy beach. Ideally located at the heart of bustling Swanage, guests here are also within 500 metres of a spectrum of pubs, restaurants, cafes and shops. The railway station, with its heritage steam trains out to historic Corfe Castle, 5.5 miles outside Swanage, is a 150-metre stroll away, while the South West Coast Path is 350 metres away. Follow this out to scenic Peveril Point for just over 0.5 miles to take in the magnificent, far-reaching coastal views. The National Trust’s picturesque Studland Bay, with its great expanses of golden sand and rolling, grassy dunes, is 3.5 miles away.


    Let yourselves into this impressive period building and climb the stairs up to the first floor. Open the door to your private apartment to find yourselves in the lobby, where there is an entry phone and space for you to slip off your beach flip-flops or unlace your walking boots. Amble on in to emerge in a welcoming, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. With south-facing windows, this lovely space benefits from streaming sunshine on fine days. Put the kettle on to make a cup of tea to enjoy with a slice of freshly baked Dorset cake, then head over to the comfortable sofa to recline for a while in front of the Smart TV. The contemporary kitchen here is well equipped with everything you will need to cater for the two of you on those occasions you choose to stay in, and there is a table with chairs for romantic dinners. As night falls, head to your inviting bedroom, which is off an inner hall from the lobby. This features a double bed and has a window where you can catch glimpses of the sea on clear mornings. The family bathroom has a bath and a shower to choose between.


    This apartment has no garden or outside space but is less than 120 metres from green parkland areas close to the seafront. Parking is on the street, subject to availability and with summer restrictions. There is a public car park within 500 metres of the apartment.
