Houston Sylvan Beach Park Hotels

"The staff are great! Friendly, helpful. They create a welcoming atmosphere.The text contact we received does not reply back though. We got in later in the evening started to set up beds, the pullout was broken replyed back to text from hotel. No response.Bedding, towels, and surfaces clean in room. Beds are clean however very uncomfortable. Its the 1st hotel we have staying in that my husband and i both didnt sleep well and our backs hurt. The bathroom door is a sliding door. When closed the door left a gap open enough to see in and light to shine out. 2nd night bathroom door got stuck and locked me in . It was late, had to have help gettibg out. Next moring shared with front desk staff. They sent a maintenance person to fix right away. Fixed to where we didnt get stuck, thank goodness! Gap when closed exposed more though. In room Amenities supplied are great! We have a family of 6. When book reservations we list 6. This hotel supplied the towels for 6. Other hotels we have stayed supplyed less than 6 and we would have to request more. But not here! "

"Upon getting my key card, I noticed the elevator was out of order and told the lady at the desk that I have a heart condition so if she could please not have me walk up so many flights of stairs. She disregarded that and put me on the 5th floor. We get to the 5th floor open the door and the room was very much not cleaned. Trash everywhere, dirty towels in the bathroom, sheets and covers all over the place. I go back down after taking pics and videos. Show her what the room looked like. She gives me a different room on the 3rd floor. I have a party of 3 she gave me 1 face towel 2 hand towels and 2 body towels. The stair case was filthy and the next room she gave us wasn't clean either. Stains in the sheets and covers, tub had a ring around it. Towels had stains as well. I would never recommend this hotel to not even to my worst enemy -50 out 10"

"No ironing board in room."

"Busted water faucet water running all night into the morning , I called front desk and asked if we could move to another room.the young lady who answered my call did not know,because she said that she was in training but would try to notify her manager, After 12:30 am we were told we must move to another room. We got know sleep because of the in&out of the room by maintenance people we moved to the 3rd floor where construction was being done no sheets. Just was satisfying at all."

"Amazing location close enough to most attractions in Houston, and just far enough away to be relaxing and quiet. The view in the back yard is perfect and great for bird watching as well. The home was clean and a fantastic way to end along evening. The host is amazing and communicated/responded very quickly. Check in was exceptionally easy as well!!! Great stay if you plan on visiting the Houston area."
