  • Last night we went to a Taoist Temple in Taipei. You can see in the close up picture of people praying how they receive and answer immediately from the prayers. After kneeling and bowing, you throw two "stones" onto the floor. They are both crescent shaped with a sun and a moon side. If they end up both on one side, the answer is NO. If they end up both on the other side, the answer is maybe, or not enough information. If the end up like a ying and a yang, then the answer is YES. I took a moment to pray, asked my question and got a ying and a yang out of the throw. The belief is, that the result comes from within your own heart.

We had 2 twin beds and the room was super small The breakfast was nothing to rave about. In fact it was our least favourite of all the hotels we stayed at during this trip. Similar to a Holiday Inn breakfast. Location was pretty convenient though it’s an expensive taxi ride to the airport.

Generally nice basic hotel. 10 minutes from metro in area with lots of dining and shopping options. Chinese style breakfast was good (more like western lunch). Internet did not work in our corner room. Held luggage sits in the lobby (no dedicated baggage storage area).

Fairly close to the nearest MRT station (about 5-7 minutes walk), and lots of amenities like Family Mart, 7-Eleven, and also massage places nearby. There's also a cute market just behind the hotel (maybe a 3-4 minute walk), which we discovered when walking around, and they have many cute cafes and good food and a park there. Easy to reach from the airport, and plenty of things to do in the area. Hotel breakfast was also pretty good, although options are a bit lacking if you are vegetarian and want protein. But they do have plenty of carbs. Hotel staff are very helpful when going to them for help, although language fluency varies across different staff members – but a translator app is enough to bridge the barrier. Overall would definitely recommend this hotel, very good for the price point in my opinion!

Good hotel in convenient location. Very close to MRT and local shoppimg/dining with a lovely small nightmarket not far away. The hotel is decent but make sure that you do get one of the bigger rooms. Some of the rooms are tiny and not suitable for a couple with 2 pieces of luggage. But fortunately Reception moves us to a larger room. We will stay here again when we come back to Taipei.

Neat! The room I stayed last time (last year) was clean, but this time the room I stayed was a bit smelling and there was a water dripping sound all night… so I asked for another room for my second night. The second room was as good as last time! I guess it’s just some rooms are older? Besides that, the service is good and fast! And the location I very convenient! I will recommend the hotel for my friends! 👍
