Oakwood Hotel Oike Kyoto

Oakwood Hotel Oike Kyoto

8/10 Good
"Amazing location- can walk to nearly all central attractions and close to transit. On a quieter street which is great. Kind staff. Breakfast leaves a lot to be desired- not worth the cost"

"Exceptional attention to detail. Classic Japanese luxury—hotel was definitely a throwback but did not feel old and outdated."

SOLARIA Nishitetsu Hotel Kyoto Premier

SOLARIA Nishitetsu Hotel Kyoto Premier

8/10 Good
"This property was walking distance to a bunch of markets such as Nishiki, Termachi, etc. There are lots to do around the area and very close to Kamo river with restaurants. I got sick when I got to Kyoto so the staff gave me English speaking medical clinics around the area. The property is nice and has laundry downstairs but there is a long wait time as everyone is trying to wash/dry their clothes. The breakfast is decent even though it is a bit pricey for Japan I would say. But there are variety of food. We also upgraded our room upon check in to have more space and they were able to accommodate pretty quickly."

"I was recently in Kyoto for a solo trip and this was the perfect place to stay! Great location, easily accessible by walking, bus, and train. The rooms are small but they work well for solo travel at the price point! I would highly recommend"

"Such an amazing place to stay. The staff were great and spoke fluent English. The room was also great with a comfy bed. The hotel was near all the shopping and dining areas, within walkable distance, and all the sightseeing was a short train ride away. I would book this place in a heartbeat on my next trip."
