Beat up

The surrounding area was great. Everything within walking distance. The room on the other hand was beat up. The whole building smelled like cigarettes. Light bulbs out in the bathroom, lot of scratches in the headboard. No box spring under the mattress. Dirty sponges under the sink. I would return to the area but not this listing or building.

Filthy not as described!

We arrived late in the evening. The resort is so cute and well kept. The unit we rented however was disgusting!! Everywhere we looked it was dirty and dead bugs. We called the property manager but no answer since it was late. Spent and hour on the phone with VRBO and after sending pictures they said it was “Clean enough” and we should live with it!! We were not able to stay and had to drive an hour to get a hotel and spend more money. The next day the manager gave us a new unit that was “remodeled” it was very poorly remodeled. Nothing was done by a licensed contractor for sure. It also was very dirty and I had to clean it just to stay there. There was very little to use in the kitchen, no towels wash clothes to clean dishes etc. only 2 forks etc, the toaster was stored with the dust pan sitting on it!! The property manager refused to refund even a portion of our stay even though we missed a night and have to pay for a hotel!! I will definitely stay at this resort again but never one of this owners units. We talked to other guests and they had very clean well equipped spaces.

Confused Limbo

First time user for VRBO. The owner finally communicated with us after we got refunded. Vrbo did take care of the first night which did make things better. Might I suggest that when there is a two or more day stay and this happens NOT wait 24 hours. It should go to the next day’s CHECK IN TIME so that renters don’t have to be left in limbo for those hours waiting around to know what to do before checking in again. Thanks.
