Property and staff very nice just no English speaking and TV is all in Mandarin no English speaking in the area also but good food. Lady 2 days of stay internet issues
Great hotel. Good location, just a short walk along the river from Huanbei MRT station, close (5' walking distance) to the Xinming Night Market and other points of interest in Zhongli and Pingzhen. Located ia high-rise building on the 6th floor (among other hotels on different floors in the building, this is the upscale one). Went for the "Luxury" option and checked into room 602. It was spacious and had large windows with view to Zhongmei Rd. The room was well equipped with modern furniture, well-lit and the bed was very comfortable. Also had a chair and a desk to work at. Aircon was quiet and powerful enough to quickly cool down the room. All toiletries were provided. Water pressure and temperature was excellent. Although it's a no smoking building, there was sometimes smoke in the elevator but fortunately none made it into the room. It wasn't completely silent (some street noise with the window open and sometimes the sounds from a nearby KTV) but I stayed over the weekend and it was never an issue, and I'm a light sleeper. I imagine it could have been different if there were noise from the corridor but fortunately that wasn't the case during my stay. There's a complimentary breakfast served 7-10 am on the 5th floor, which included a self-service buffet with a choice of: rice porridge, 3 Chinese dishes (more comparable to lunch than to a Western breakfast), toast bread with 3 spreads to choose from, and soymilk. Staff was friendly too. Very satisified with my stay.
