“The staff were very accommodating and hospitable. We were late arriving, rang to let them know an ETA (9.30pm) and enquired if they were still serving food, they informed us that they had stopped serving food around 8 pm, but that they would cook for us on arrival, which was ideal (particularly for a family of 4, all hungry and tired)! The food and beer were good. Couldn't fault it. The pub and accommodation are very characterful. Parts of the building are over 500 years old. It may not be for……

“Very warm welcome from all the friendly staff. My room was external to the pub but it was lovely and warm (despite freezing temperatures outside) it was nice and spacious and had lovely facilities, nice bathroom and very clean. The walk from village to beach and the surrounding little narrow lanes are great if a tad challenging and I would recomend a stay here. ”

Under new management, so they were adjusting. The location was perfect, right in town and we got there early enough to get parking on site. ”

“A simple and modest country village pub with very friendly owners who took great pains to welcome and look after me. Arriving late, they had kept a good supper for me. The bedroom was large, clean and nicely old fashioned. The old church nearby chimed through the night but did not wake me. As I left before breakfast, the landlords left me a sandwich and apple. In no way smart and modern but with a very warm and relaxing atmosphere. ”

“The inn is beautifully located on the seafront we had a lovely room overlooking the water. Room was very comfortable and the staff were cheerful and helpful. It was also handy to be able to just walk downstairs to the cosy pub for supper. Would definitely stay here again.”

Room was clean and stocked with pkenty of tea, coffee etc. Bed was very comfortable and nice fresh bedding and towels, toiletries were supplied. Food in the restaurant was very nice and a good price and generous portions. ”
