「We stayed in one of the Lodges. Very clean and well equipped. Plenty of tea and coffee supplies (decent quality not cheap), a great supply of Borders biscuits, and cleaning equipment including tablets for the dishwasher.
Only problem was one of the bathrooms didn’t have a lock on the door.
Our booking stated check out is 11:00 however the checkout for lodges is 10:00 with no opportunity to request a late checkout.
We took a fan with us as wasn’t sure how hot the lodge would be but it was...

「Check in very slow and after travelling 3 hours with elderly disabled parents, our room was not ready, which is understandable. But the only offer to get changed for a wedding was in the changing rooms a flight of stairs down or the toilets! The girl on reception was adamant there wasn’t any other option available and was very unconcerned of the needs for my disabled mother. 「Perfectly situated for both the town and the beach. Clean, comfortable room. There was great speed and efficiency at breakfast and dinner - well-staffed so no waiting. Had a quiz one evening and great musical entertainment on another.」

「Disappointing stay - room was described as 'deluxe' but was on the small side and being up in the eaves of the roof meant one of us had to duck to get in and out of bed. No turn down / refresh on day 1, no waste bin, small but basic things - especially at the price paid. Staff although friendly, were difficult to find (only available via WhatsApp ??), reception never staffed. Overall a great a shame as the hotel has a beautiful setting and grounds. We wint be returning. 」
