「Prior to check-in, Sarah was very responsive. The cottage itself was immaculate and so cute. It was a great location for us to stay. Upon checkout, Sarah answered all of our questions nearly immediately regarding what to do with the linens and rubbish. Hoping to stay here again, if our travels bring us in this direction.」

「Great location however the house was not clean on arrival despite owner stating it had been cleaned. I needed to clean sour milk which was throughout the fridge. There was lots of mould and damp spots in the bedrooms, bathroom and kitchen. Water was leaking through the ceiling in the kitchen and damaged our food.Owner advised he was trying to patch up the kitchen roof.Unable to use shower as this also leaked into kicheb. Owner suggested i just dry up the leaks and they should "stop...

「A good place to have as a base to explore the area. Comfortable especially the double bed, and had everything you may need. It's not luxurious but very practical, good for the dog as long as they can get upstairs. The only down side is the proximity to the road although that was only busy at peak times. Very kind of the local pub to allow parking. It served us well while visiting family in Walls end.」

「Fantastic location. Ideal for what we needed but also really rural-feeling and peaceful. We found it quiet and charming. We enjoyed wandering in amongst the old orchard and down through the copse, across the scrubland that forms part of the floodplain of the Tyne. It was good to know there are badgers around although we weren’t lucky enough to see anyway. The dawn chorus was impressive. Very pleasant indeed. Definitely will book again if we’re back in the area. 」

「Fabulous house for large groups. Very well equipped. Would definitely recommend.Only negative was the house wasn’t very warm despite the heating being on full, however, we did stay at one of the coldest times of the year with frost outside.Another point to note, take extra care when using the hot tub at night as the lighting to get to it from the house is poor」

「Lovely apartment, key pick up will be after 4pm Monday to Thursday as the bar is closed beforehand. There is NO ALLOCATED PARKING PERMIT. Staff are lovely at the two businesses downstairs which offer 10% discount for anyone staying here. We lived the apartment so much, it's got a great vibe and had everything we required.」

「Really nice place, cosy everything you need close to get to anywere. Would recommend to anyone」

「Lovely cottage which is situated close to Durham City centre.Helpful, friendly host, who was on hand when we had any problems. Also, a very good Italian restaurant next door.」

「Great if you want an escape from the everyday stress. Peaceful location, and comfy. Perfect dog friendly property」

「Turtles Nest was a lovely little home from home.」

「Bathroom smells mouldy, could have done with a small window opener for airflow.kitchen has everything you need.parking perfect outside accommodation Overall a good place to stay」

「Nice views of harbour from front windows. House had a musty smell and was showing its age. Bit of water damage one the ceiling of one of the bedrooms was a bit off putting. Owner was helpful with questions. 」

「The house is a really good size, we were impressed with the cleanliness. As someone has already complained about the down stairs tv...it as yet not been fixed. You can only watch for a while if you stream it.The kitchen is missing a potato masher, could also do with a couple of big pans and a couple of bowls. As guests have also said there I'd no spare anything so if 6 people stayed you would struggle.Access with a wheelchair is totally impossible due to the people's which should be mentioned in...
