Unfortunately we picked one of the hottest weekends on record in UK and with no aircon (my kids first experience of sleeping without aircon, we live in Singapore) meant hardly any sleep for us all. "We stayed at the Hotel Du Vin on our wedding night. We checked in online which was a very quick and simple process.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We had a suitcase which we wanted to take to the hotel prior to checking in. This was absolutely no problem and as our room was ready, we were able to take the case to our room far in advance of normal check in time.
When we returned to our room, a bottle of bubbly had been provided which was a lovely touch and gratefully received.
Breakfast the next morning was fabulous with an excellent choice on the menu. Again, the staff were very friendly and helpful without being intrusive.
