Beautiful three bed bungalow, sleeps 5, with parking available and large gardens accessible from front and back door. The bungalow is a 5 minute walk to Scarbster beach and harbour, and a 20 minute walk along the cliff front to the northern-most town on mainland Britain of Thurso. Nearby attractions include the Castle of Mey, John O Groats, Dunnet head and Dunnet beach.

We had a very nice stay here. The bungalow was very clean and well equipped. It was in a quiet location and it was just a short drive into town. We really enjoyed the view of the sea and watching the ships at the ferry terminal. We would definitely stay here again.

This appears to be the best view of the whole of thurso, stretching from the highest point overlooking the water. Best shower I had in my 3 weeks in Scotland and enjoyed chatting with the many walkers that made their way past the front yard as we lounged taking it all in.

Comfortable house with great views

We had a very comfortable three night stay in this house which is very well equipped.The location provides wonderful views of Scrabster Port and Dunnet Head. We enjoyed watching the ferries come and go as well as a small cruise ship.We went on an excellent Seawolf Wildlife small group guided tour called Sunset Penguin Tour which started in central Thurso.This is great location for visiting Castle of Mey ( not open Monday-Tuesday), the Thurso Museum, Hallkirk Motor Museum( check opening hours)? Dunnet Head, Old St Pete’s Church in Thurso.

Spectacular views from a really comfortable home

The views from this home are spectacular. We visited in January so the weather was snowy, windy and cold. The house was lovely and warm, really comfortable and cozy. It was amazing to watch the weather systems out at sea, the ships coming and going from the harbor and the views all the way to Dunnet Head and beyond. The house itself is situated in a small council estate, driving up to the house is okay, parking a bit tight, but, when you go into the house, wow!! Super comfortable beds, house spotlessly clean, pretty much everything you could need (would have loved a dryer since the weather didn’t lend itself to hanging clothes outside, but it really wasn’t a problem). I can only imagine how wonderful it would be to sit outside in the summer and watch the world go by. I’ve traveled to Thurso so many times and wish I’d found this home sooner, it’s everything you could need and want. Definitely staying here the next time.

Peaceful cottage with lovely harbour view

We had a lovely stay at Four Waves. The place was spotlessly clean, quiet, comfortable and very handy for the ferry at Scrabster. We loved the view over the harbour at Scrabster. We would definitely be back!

Lovely location

Although it is in a housing estate,the back of the house with a nice garden,looks out onto the bay with a nice little harbour. We spent most daylight hours in the garden and didn't really use the living room. The house is nicely decorated,light and airy. The house is a nice little drive to Dunnet Head where we saw puffins. This is a nice little place for anyone to stay.
