“So, we booked this about an hour ahead of being there. When we showed up, the office was closed. There was a sign on the door addressed to another guest and a phone number on the closed sign. Called the number and the owner of the property answered and apologized that he did not see the reservation come in and was away from the property. He asked us to wait 30 minutes so he could return to check us in. It got mostly better from there. Check in was pleasant and the owner was very apologetic……

“It's all great, as far as i'm concerned, but one has to know in advance what sort of place it is. It's a mosaic of rustic on the outside, elegant/modern on the inside, quadruplexes, with classic LPs and a turntable in the room. There's no restaurant, fitniess room, etc.. (which their website makes clear.) i loved it, It's in the heart of the village. You'll want to walk to everything, which I enjoyed. When I was there, I couldn't find a place for breakfast the Wednesday morning I left;……

“We usually only leave positive reviews but we just couldn’t for this stay. 3 out of 4 front desk clerks were very unwelcoming. One had her head glued to computer monitor and never even made eye contact with us. The complimentary breakfast was extremely disappointing. The croissants and other pastries were stale. We took a short walk to a local bakery/cafe where everything was fresh and worth paying for. The bar was dark, dreary, and depressing. Hope you have a better experience than we……
