"The drains in the bathroom smell very bad. We had 2 rooms on separate floors and they both had bad smelling washrooms but the room 1121 was worse. The staff cleaned and did a full service on the air for us which helped for a bit but the bad smell would just return. We ended up leaving a cup of coffee grounds in the bathroom which was the only thing that helped. This would be a lovely place to stay if not for the drain smell. The staff are all very kind and welcoming and do their best to be helpful."

"My biggest pet peeve is cleanliness in a hotel. I’m not sure if it’s because of the location (Dontobori which is pretty dirty) but this hotel was not it. Our room was actually pretty gross with the walls stained, the carpet visibly stained, the toilet paper roll stained….I have no words. Additionally, when we got there we read a sign (we weren’t told we had to read a sign) that says there’s construction in the building next to us from February 16th, 2026 to October 20th, 2026 and we will most likely hear noises. During the week we heard the construction (loudly) but luckily at night and during the weekend we did not. I tried to be positive while we stayed so to be fair the location is in the middle of the chaos of Dontobori, fairly priced, and view was nice. But if you are a tourist and don’t want to stay in the Japan version of Las Vegas/New York do not stay here. I will not be recommending this hotel to anyone."

"I liked the room and the hotel amenities especially having a 7-11 in the hotel. Room was small but typical for Japan. The check in was not good. One person taking in all the luggage while four staff members just stand at the front desk not helping at all. Then when you check in you have to do it on a machine the front desk people don’t even help with that. Total cluster…. The hotel plays super annoying music in the lobby which you can hear through the door of your room 24 hours a day when sleeping. Good location."
