Staff was very friendly and very accommodating for a last minute decision to stay and unsure if I would need to stay another night due to a road closing and undetermined reopening. The staff tried to help me figure the status of the road closing keeping me from my home. Very kind」

「Room was the CUTEST! Bathroom was huge. One of the cleanest (like sparkling clean) places we have ever stayed. It is right on the beach with easy, easy beach access. Large beach area for hotel. Wonderful two-story, covered deck area. A two-minute walk to Swells'a brewery :). If we ever have the opportunity to return to the OBX, John Yancey is where we will stay. 」

「I am so glad i found the FCI for our first trip to the Outer Banks. We really enjoyed our six night stay there during the last week of October. Our room was perfect for us and the yummy hot breakfast every morning was amazing. We chose a historic inn rather than a hotel or airbnb because we like the more personal touch an Inn provides. 「Clean, comfortable and affordable room with nice shower! Bri met us with a smile and showed us around the place. We were not able to use the cute fire-pit area or tiki bar due to inclement weather, but I'm sure it's a hit on nice evenings. Coffee and tea are available 24/7 in the main house. Rooms come with a fridge which is great if you go out to eat and have leftovers. Centrally located on the island. 」
