“My only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars was how the bathroom was laid out. You have to get into the shower to turn it on, and outside of the shower the towel bar is placed higher than most I have encountered. Also I am not a fan of bowl sinks. However - the rest of the room was very nicely planned , and very clean. I had not been in years, and it was nice to see the property restored so well. I would definitely come back. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. ”

“We were in town for a hockey tournament and it was a perfect place to stay so we didn't have to eat every meal out. We were in and out for games and didn't have any issues. “We had a lovely 3-day stay. The cabin is beautiful and the pictures represent it well. The picture window overlooking the lake is a glorious way to start a morning, and the deck and fire pit are wonderful ways to take in the lake in a quiet setting. We also enjoyed the beach a short walk away. The location is great- a mile or so outside of town and close to hiking trails. The kitchen was clean and fully outfitted to cook, and we took advantage of that a lot. We’d happily stay again.”

“The Nook is a real gem in Saranac Lake! My wife & I could have just stayed inside the entire time, it's that cozy! Mary & Kevin are the most friendly, hospitable hosts, ready to answer any questions, give recommendations of things to do, places to eat. “Arrived tired late in evening (after 2 hour flight delays) and door code sent by email and text didn't work (ended up having to climb through a window). No bath towels (not mentioned on Expedia, or Expedia or VRBO confirmations, but email sent the day I was traveling and didn't see said towels have to be requested). Bugs crawling around the floor, toilet wouldn't flush properly one day (had to plunger it for 5 minutes each use that day). Extremely rustic for the cost, would never go back……
