Family Mountain Getaway

The location is amazing! Close to Boone and both Sugar and Beech Mountains. The views were amazing on all sides and there was ample space for our family (grandparents, parents, children ages 6 months-8 years). Would definitely visit again.

Calm in the middle of the storm

Excellent getaway spot...tranquil, with beautiful views everywhere: sunrises, sunsets, moon rises, Grandfather Mountain, Valle Crucis. Autumn foliage was starting to pop, so that made everything even more perfect! We arrived a short time after Helene had ravaged this part of the state, so Westmount was a breath of fresh air that we needed.

Beautiful, Spacious and Comfortable

We really enjoyed this property. There was plenty of room for the entire family, and the house and views were beautiful. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

Stay at the Westmont

The house itself was great. There were two toilet stopped up upon arrival and it took three day to get that taken care of. The hot tub did not work. We called to see if we could get the driveway salted or scraped and we were told they did not provide that service, but we happened to see a plow truck up there and ran him down and he told us he worked for your company , it just wasn't scheduled for that day. It was disappointing that we were only provide one towel per person. Also, it needs to be specific in the information that two of the bathrooms are in the master bedroom. That was a real issue!

Absolutely gorgeous!

We loved this home and the location. Very nice neighborhood! THE VIEWS.... INCREDIBLE. Truly a panoramic view of layered mountains. The stone terrace on this house is amazing. Great place for coffee! The layout was perfect for our family. We would stay here again.

Westmount

Westmount is a beautiful home with a magnificent view. We have rented it 2 years in a row. Apparently there are new owners, because it was not as well stocked as it was last year. Two of the bathrooms are in the Master suite which is very nice for the hosts, but it leaves 2 other bedrooms without baths. We really enjoyed the stone veranda in front and the deck in the back. Lovely views from both. The house appeared to have been sanitized, but some of the other cleaning had been neglected. I advised Carolina Cabin rentals about this, so it will probably be corrected. We had a wonderful time there!

Elegant Mountain Home

Beautiful home that accomodated eleven guests. Great kitchen and gathering areas. Easy access to ski slopes and other forms of entertainment and restaurants. We would rent again just for the views alone!

Awesome View

I can not say enough positive things about this home. Spacious, relatively easy to get to (there are plenty of curves up the mountain) and cozy! If you rent this home only for the view from the rock patio, you will not be disappointed! We are a group of 5 sorority sisters and ASU alumni that do a yearly "reunion" for homecoming. The house was much bigger than we really needed. However, we loved having all that space and our own bedroom! The Master King downstairs - huge and amazing view! You wake up to an incredible view of Grandfather Mountain. The gas log fireplace creates a cozy, warm living room that we used a lot to watch college football and reconnect with friends! The only thing that was disappointing is that we didn't have time to try out the hot tub! This home is awesome and thank you for allowing us to rent your home!

Lovely home with an amazing view

This lovingly furnished home was perfect for our family of ten -- three generations, aged 7 to 70+, enjoyed gathering inside and out. The location was ideal for easy access to Boone, Valle Crucis, Linville, Blowing Rock (a bit further but still easy), the Blue Ridge Parkway and favorite trails. With a 180-degree view of blue ridges and sky, the front patio was a magnet for watching the morning clouds clear from the valley below and the sun set behind those magical mountains. Do come and enjoy this house--just not for the weeks we want it next year!

Beautiful Views

This is a beautiful house with fantastic views. The master suite is fabulous with his and hers bathrooms, however one of the other bedrooms does not have an ensuite bath. The veranda on the front and deck on the back are outstanding with beautiful views and comfortable furniture. The kitchen is fairly well stocked but could use some larger pots and casseroles. Overall, we had a wonderful time here and probably will return.
