Great property

This is a lovely home and property. There are so many wonderful outdoor spaces to enjoy. Places to sit in the sun, poolside, on the top deck or below to enjoy shade. The water view is lovely and the hot tub is so relaxing. The house has everything you need and is just 2 blocks to the ocean front. Bonus as it was dog friendly and my little beagle girl enjoyed the house and property too.

Great off season getaway

We enjoyed all this property had to offer. Great open living room with kitchen and dining area. The seating on the deck was great for morning coffee overlooking the canal. It was a little cold for the pool but the hot tub got used quite a bit. Easy walk to the beach and loved that we could bring the dog. The house is a little worn but has great potential and the customer service from the rental agency was fast and efficient. Nice location for a relaxing time with family.

Comfortable vacation home

This home had plenty of room and beds for our large family. The kids had their own "play room", the dining table (for the first time ever) actually sat everyone and the screened porch was nice to enjoy in the evenings.The inside was clean when we arrived. We were bummed the pool was not able to be used at this time of year (April) and the neighbors were a bit loud. We also had trouble parking dur to the neighbors all parking on the street in front of our house. When considering this place, please note that while the beach access is directly up the road and only a 3 or 4 minute walk, you do have to cross the "main street" that sometimes had traffic. Overall, my family would stay here again.

Cleanliness and Comfort Issues

Overall our group was not satisfied with this property. There were a number of cleanliness concerns, the most notable of which are listed below: -Black mold surrounding the ice dispenser on the fridge, which we noticed a couple days into our stay. Thankfully no one got sick from using those ice cubes. -Mold covering the pillows on the downstairs couches. -Ant problem in the kitchen - there were even instructions on the fridge about how to address the ants (so maybe get pest control in there?) - unfortunately, the vinegar spray referenced on the note was nowhere to be found under the sink so we had to smoosh them as we saw them. -Filthy screens and windows - I know the window washing is a constant need, but the screens (particularly in the 3-season room) were gross and obviously had not been cleaned in a very, very long time. In general it was just not well cleaned or maintained. It needs some touching up (numerous construction issues that were minor but caught our eyes and just made the place overall look shoddy) and attention for sure. Though the neighborhood is quiet and Sandbridge Beach is lovely, we would not return to this property.

End of canal paradise

The overall experience was terrific. The property managers were only a phone call or text away if I needed anything. The relaxing, no stress check in and check out process was the smoothest I've ever had anywhere I have ever stayed. That end of canal location was ideal and very much appreciated and used to the fullest for entertainment. Thank you again for a great week and would recommend staying at this property or any other property associated with it.

The location of this house is perfect! Beautiful pool and right on the Back Bay. Easy two block walk to the beach. The house layout is nice, great for a large group with room to spread out. Time for a deep clean though! The main floor bathroom ceiling was covered in mold and it was starting to mold on the walls as well. Moldy shower curtain liner too. Really needed vacuuming along the base boards, it had obviously been a long time. Next time I would bring my own sheets, bedding and pillows. It was all really worn. After a bit of maintenance and cleaning this would be a fabulous house!

This house has it all

Easy access to the canal for fishing and kayaking into the preserve, lovely pool, large hot tub and short walk to the wonderful beach. The house itself was a perfect fit for our large family. There are a few updates that are needed, however, nothing that would stop us from coming again! Dealing with Sandbridge Realty was easy and they were responsive. Overall, this house was an excellent choice in my opinion. I would definitely recommend it.

Wonderful Week!

We stayed in early April. Such a relaxing week for kids and parents. Easy walks to the beach, hot tub time and plenty of time for paddle boarding on the back bay(we brought our own). Spacious home with plenty of room to spread out. Kitchen has everything you need.

Virginia get away

The house is beautiful and spacious. The kitchen is well organized with all that we needed to spent a few days without leaving the house. We all fell in love with the location and the house.

Serene and majestic location in need of repairs

This home served our family well. Lots of room to spread out. Gorgeous location and so close to the beach! As previously reviewers stated, cleanliness was an issue. I had contacted VRBO a few weeks before our stay during Christmas week to make sure the house was going to be cleaned properly and received no response. When I called they told me to call them right when we get there if it's not cleaned good enough. When we arrived, we discovered the coffee pot in the kitchen still had old coffee in it with mold growing on top. They actually had several coffee pots in which were all disgusting except for a Keruig. Unfortunately, the picture and listing does not show a Keurig or state there's one, so we didn't have pods for it. Also, some of the beds had sheets with stains and holes and one didn't have any. The windows are disgusting and dirty. I called and they brought us a new coffee pot and sheets right away and asked if I wanted to have the house recleaned. Listing also states there's a new ping pong table for 2021, but it actually was a Foosball table. We found ping pong balls all over the house. Somewhat disappointing as my son was looking forward to playing ping pong. We really enjoyed the hot tub and the glorious views from the back yard. It was a short walk to the beach and even though it was brisk, we couldn't resist. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but some major cleaning and updating are needed.

Nice property, maintenance can improve

The house and property are very nice. Lots of good amenities (hot tub, pool, foosball table, TVs in every room). Layout is good, lots of space and opportunities for communal interactions as well as private nooks. However, the details were lacking... light in the bathroom was out, light in the kitchen was flickering, floor in the bathroom was sticky, two dead bee bodies on upstairs carpet, base boards and inside of drawers dusty. Overall we very much enjoyed our stay there, I just think that there are opportunities for improvement in the maintenance/cleanliness department. However, the property managers were good about communicating with us when we got there and asked if there was anything we needed. I didn't bring up these details because we were already there and didn't want to have maintenance coming in during our vacation to fix what really should have been taken care of before we got there. The only other thing that made me nervous was the staircase going from the 2nd to the 3rd floor. There are open slots between the stairs which my 18 month son could have slipped through. We just kept an eye on him and he was fine, but if you are planning to come here with a toddler, you may want to think about bringing a travel baby gate or just be prepared to watch them around those stairs.

Issues

We only had several issues during our stay. They were related to the condition of the property. Some of the rooms were not as clean as they should have been. We found a plastic water bottle, candy, cereal and other minor types of dirt under several of the beds. The trash can in the kitchen was dirty inside. The deck is in need of repairs: nails coming up, boards loosed, and splitting of some of the boards noted. We were unable to use the hot tub at all. Needed repair work that took several days. However, the view out the back of the canal was fabulous and provided hours of relaxation! And the proximity to the beach was wonderful! We enjoyed the layout of the house, the kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils and supplies, the rooms were of great size, the washer and dryer was greatly appreciated-especially their size and location, the pool was really nice and in good shape, the TVs were in good locations and sufficient for what we needed-although 1 didn't work. And again I would comment how wonderful the view of the canal was and how great the close proximity to the beach was. The children loved every minute of our stay in the house.

Not what was expected for the money

First off, the place was huge! Nice lay out of 2 bedroom and a bathroom on each floor. The kitchen was fabulous and stocked with every utensil or dish you will need. Now, let’s get to the cleaniness, it was almost disgusting. One bed had dog hair all the down to the mattress. The enclosed part of the deck has never seen a broom and the walls haven’t been washed in years. The one bathroom was not even cleaned when we checked in! If you have children I would look elsewhere because of the simple fact that the deck needs attention and there’s a lot of boards and screws sticking up to get hurt on. Sandbridge did attempt to fix things as we called, but first impressions are everything!!!

Awesome House

This property was awesome and the kitchen was well stocked!!! The only thing I would do differently is NOT go through VRBO as they charged extra fees. I was charged for a pet fee and never said I was bringing one. I will go directly through Sandbride Realty to avoid extra fees.

Missing Ping pong table

Despite the ants in the kitchen, some missed items during the cleaning (previous renters' socks) and hair in the bed, we had a nice time. You can tell they are working hard to renovate the property, and it's getting better, level by level. There was no ping pong table and the kids were disappointed by that. Hot tub was nice! Property was quick walk to the beach and had a nice view.

Really loved this house and I would definitely stay there again. My communication with the actual property manager was great, but the beginning booking was a little frustrating -- It seemed like there were some hidden fees, the billing was a bit complicated, and we were mistakenly billed for a pet fee. Next time, I would not book through VRBO, but would go directly to the property manager of the house.

Great property and location, close to wonderful beach

Many positives here: swimming pool and hot tub, paddle boat, and great location on canal and close to beach. The place is also close enough to amenities and various restaurants etc. The negatives are that the table-tennis was not there and the dishwasher was broken. The fireplace in the living room does not work. The photos are quite flattering and some aspects could do with an overhaul. The showers are not great. The kitchen is well stocked with equipment.
