Anniversary trip

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our trip. The location was perfect- not too crowded but centrally located to many points of interested. We loved coming back to the unit to relax on the balcony to the beautiful views. I highly suggest walking to the beach at sunset, as we caught a glimpse of at least one turtle every night. We would love to come back again in the future.

Nice place!

This condo is right along the ocean, so the view is wonderful. There is a small lanai with a table we sat at and had breakfast and at night I would leave the window open to listen to the waves. It is an easy 15 minute drive to Kihei. the carpets could use a cleaning, but everything else was clean and also a safe area with pleasant people to say hello to. We would stay here again.

Amazing views!

We have stayed at Maalaea Banyans since 1990 in many of the condos. The views are outstanding, we love the location and walking on sugar beach. Unit 202 could use some updating, even just comfortable furniture would be great. The floors need a good scrubbing but over all the unit worked for our basic needs.

Very disappointed. Everything smelled really bad from sheets to towels. My first stop on my vacation was to Walmart to buy laundry detergent and wash everything. The kids couldn’t use the couch bed for sleeping because there was just springs.

Peaceful

The room was clean and well stocked with most everything you need except spices. Normally the places we have stayed in has at least salt and pepper, some a cornucopia of of the previous quest spices. The balcony view was beautiful. The grounds are well maintained and beautiful as well. Unless you are on the first floor there is no access to them from 10pm to 7:30 am. Being a morning person that was disappointing. This was the first out of 3 condos on this street that was the case. It does have a washer and dryer but no laundry soap, so if you intend to use it bring it with you. Air-conditioning is there if you need it, we live off grid and shut it off. The breeze is more the enough. We enjoyed our stay here.

There's a small beach area where the turtles like to sunbathe. The condo itself was as advertised. The king size bed was comfortable. Very much appreciated the beach chairs and coolers - we used them every day. Easy walk to the Maui Ocean Center and shops/restaurants. Only 8 minute drive to the point to watch the sunset. We rented a kayak for a day and enjoyed being on the water. The air conditioning in the condo works well for the living area but even with fans, it doesn't reach the bedroom very well.

Quiet Maalaea

Lived on island for the past 21 years. Always thought I'd stay in Maalaea some day as it's quiet and i love the breeze. Nice condo, good value. The TV was difficult to operate. Strange system that didn't allow for channel up and down. Couldn't see the channel guide. Had to key in over 300 at a time after checking in and writing down the ones I liked. I don't watch me TV, so it didn't bother me much. Couldn't adjust the temperature on the window air conditioner. Was at 66 degrees. Had to unplug it when it got too cold, The condo was a great value. Comfortable. Very quiet complex. The only one with a hot tub in Maalaea. I enjoyed my two week stay and would return again.
