“スタッフはとても良かったです。 1号室の狭い部屋を予約したのは自分達の責任ですが、あまりにも狭すぎました。また、塩素？のような香りが強すぎて、ずっと窓を開けていましたが、香りに敏感な者にとっては、苦痛でした。シャワー、洗面台の排水が悪く水が流れにくく溢れそうになるまで、水が上がってきました。また、上の階の騒音が酷く、歩く音、トイレの音、シャワーの音が全てすごく響きました。洗面所のドアも壊れて閉まらなくなり、一晩開けっぱなしでした。流石に耐えかねて翌朝相談したら部屋を変更してくださいました。ご対応ありがとうございました。 朝食は美味しく、スタッフのお2人の対応は、とても良かったです。”

“The reason I haven’t scored 5 is that Expedia sold us a room that had issues with noise / cooking smells as it’s above the kitchen and is noisey and smelly when the staff are cooking. We stayed in a room named Helvellyn and Expedia didn’t state any issues with any rooms. If we had booked direct with the queens head it details the room helvellyn as having issues with noise etc due to it’s proximity to the kitchen. I think Expedia have been misleading not detailing the facts about that particular……

“When we approached the hotel it looks a stunning country house. Lovely location. We were welcomed very nicely. We had a lake view room. On first appearance it was quaint old and looked inviting. As time went by it was obvious that the upkeep of maintenance was lacking. This was reflected throughout the hotel. Our dinner in the restaurant came cold and my husbands potatoes were missing. “Excellent property with high standard of finish and decoration. Very warm despite the cold weather outside. The “Welcome Pack” was a great and welcome surprise which is a definite plus compared to other rentals in this area. Master bedroom had a superb en suite plus a great view of Loughrigg Brow. “Apartment was really nice, roomy and comfortable, ideal for two couples. I wouldn't recommend it for families with kids due to proximity to a bar and noise in the evening. Only other niggle was that while the apartment was well kitted out in general, we had to go out and buy hand wash and toilet roll. “High Ridge is perfectly situated right in the middle of Ambleside. However, it really does need some TLC. There are damp patches on the walls , the bed linen is rather questionable, & the window blinds are just simply dreadful . They let light in, don’t work properly & are very tatty indeed. The furnishings are of poor quality & there are just far too many dreadful pictures on the walls. The kitchen & bathroom are good but the rest of the property needs a jolly good face lift .
