" Absolutely loved this place. The decor was rustic, quirky with some steam punk thrown in. The atmosphere was relaxing and Helen and John were so welcoming and friendly. We were on our way to an event and we wanted to get our bearings in daylight as we would not be checking in until the evening so we popped in on the way. We were welcomed by Ocho the dog, such a handsome good boy!! There is some building works going on outside but don't let this put you off. I would love to see the place in the summer as there is a huge firepit and pizza oven outside. The only downside we had was that we only booked for one night, something that we plan to rectify in the summer! I'd just like to say thank you for making our weekend away an amazing one. :"

"Honey Cottage is a charming place to stop, The accommodation is clean and pleasant, I stayed on a very rainy week and enjoyed many evenings curled up on the sofa in front of the fire. The hosts are helpful and friendly and the prices very reasonable. I enjoyed my stay so much that I extended my stay. highly recommend."

"Excellent staff, without exception they were polite, professional and smiled! This is an old building so the room (14) had lovely old beams and views across the forest. Plenty of parking, easy check-in with welcoming receptionist"

"A beautiful, cosy cottage on the edge of Ellwood Forest. Very peaceful and quiet and a great place to unwind. Close to all FOD sights and fabulous walks. Cottage really clean and nicely decorated and everything needed and thought of.Bunk room only really suitable for young children and bathroom, lovely but small. A bit of a squeeze for 6 adults I think (we were two people). Garden and outside space really beautiful. Access via single track road which better accessed via top of Ellwood than following instructions on site. It’s a shorter drive and easier to park. Parking on drive for one car and other spaces informal/laneside.A base to explore local area and we’d definitely book again."
