Port Richey Werner Boyce Salt Springs State Park Hotels

"The property seems well-maintained from the outside and the lobby area was clean/fresh smelling. Unfortunately that’s where the cleanliness ends, though. The room itself was not to our standard and was quite gross. We always travel with Lysol wipes and make it a point to wipe down surfaces whenever we check-in to a hotel, but we were shocked at how dirty the wipes were. It doesn’t appear the rooms are thoroughly cleaned after each guest. The bedding was definitely not washed recently and overall the room had a very bad smell which likely was due to the strong small of cigarettes that lingered through the hallways. We had to leave the windows open and buy a can of air freshener from the Dollar Tree located beside the property and tbh that didn’t help much. Additionally, this property is more like an extended stay establishment than a hotel, so just be mindful of this when booking. The room above us was very loud and there were kids jumping around at all hours. Personally, I would not stay here again or at any of their properties for that matter. "

"Hotel was great and room was also great only things I’d say is bathroom was outdated the tv had no streaming services there was only one big pot for cooking and didn’t have soap for the dishwasher. And I was a little shocked at these small things missing as it is a Hilton hotel. "

"Absolutely wonderful place to stay! It had everything we needed and more. The host was immediate with answering any questions and so helpful with the whole process. We loved the screened porch overlooking the canal. We saw great blue herons, ibis, seagulls and a dolphin! Very relaxing vacation, neighbors are friendly. "

"I had a man from across the room where I was staying at, tell me a woman was looking in the back window of my SUV. He said it look like one of the cleaning ladies. To me, just had a strange feeling, it looked kind of sketchy around where I was staying out. The hotel room was clean and bed comfortable. Staff was friendly. , "

"Amanda was a great host and we had everything we needed. The house has a nice outdoor covered and pool area. It is a great place to relax. However, the pool was a little too cold for us to swim in.
