“Tamala has been my preferred hotel in Banjul. I am disappointed to see the state in which it is now. My room was not properly cleaned, lights kept going off, the intercom in my room did not work and on one of the days the internet went off with no explanation from staff.”

“Lovely large hotel with beautiful grounds, surrounded by coconut trees, the beach cabanas, pool area are nice. Room is period colonial, it could with upgrading the rooms, the tv was small and not digital so unable to watch any apps of my own and there was only one English language movie channel that wasn’t very clear. Whilst the rooms are large and spacious especially the beach villas, it’s not what I would call a five star hotel, as staff and property lack the professionalism, to provide a……

“We stayed in a two bedroom villa off the pool. It was so lovely, staff is so helpful and nice. The pool is awesome, especially the pool man.”

“Breakfast included was a plus and a good variety and tasty. Room had a smell for the first few days but housekeeping came everyday and soon the smell was gone. Back up generator was useful kicked in everything. Internet was spotty at times but we managed to watch several episodes of shows. The garden was marvelous and the ocean was everything. Staff was friendly and accommodating all and all great value for the money.”
