Hideaway Inn Mt. Snow

10/10 Excellent

"The room was small and simple, but nicely decorated, including a record player with a vinyl album (cover, at least; didn't check for actual vinyl). The room was warm and the place was quiet when I stayed, which was off-season. I've been pulling into the parking lot of this place for five years now (MOOver), so staying there was interesting for me. I stayed there during a HAZMAT spill that closed Woodford Mtn for a couple days. Of special note, this is the ONLY hotel I've ever stayed at that had a sleep/sound machine in the room. I ALWAYS take one with me when traveling, but this was a last minute decision, so I would've had to pull up something on my phone, but there was a nice sound machine on the nightstand and I used it. Those are so helpful when staying in hotels/inns."

1846 Inn and Tavern

10/10 Excellent

"The Inn also has an adjacent nice food tavern and music this weekend. Friendly host - embodied the helpful spirit of old inns. Helped with allowing a late dinner due to late arrival. Adjusted the heat for us and allowed us to set a bit extra in their library. Very welcoming. A ++ for hospitality and making us welcome!"

Doveberry Inn

10/10 Excellent

"This was a unique experience for me. It was like having a nice room in a log cabin. It was very quiet and peaceful right off the winding country road sitting in front of a forest with a beautiful outlook from the dining area. There was good self serve beverage options available when I arrived in the late evening and breakfast the next morning had enough quality items for a gluten free person like myself. No bread or baked goods for me but nice yogurt, fresh fruit and coffee. The owner Nick was very accessible when I needed some help with the lock. He came right up and showed me what I needed to do. The room was small but comfortable. There was a tv which I didn't use. As I had a few hours to kill before turning in, I brought a book downstairs to the eating area and sat in a comfortable chair with a cup of tea. I thought I was the only one there but at breakfast there were at least three others who had stayed the night. While the mattress was somewhat soft, I still slept fine. I would stay again."
