「Very quiet, cozy & comfortable Inn. Although located in a remote area of Lake District, easy to find & can reach other spots easily. Must try the dinner at the restaurant which is very good with reasonable price. Only the towel rack in my room is not working which is a minor stuff. Furthermore everything in the breakfast seems overcooked.」

「The owner made us very welcome on arriving. It was lovely to stay in a well maintained old property (16th century) with great character, with a welcoming open fire in the general sitting / dining area. The bedroom window provided some lovely views of the fells. Breakfast was good with plenty of choices. Eggs were provided by the free roaming hens in the garden.」

「This is in the most beautiful location and the staff are so helpful and the breakfast was amazing. You have parking facilitates and they gave us the most yummy flapjack on arrival. I lovely place to stay and feel comfortable with lovely residents.」

「Friendly welcome on arrival . room was relatively small but well equipped and clen. Bed was comfortable. Dinner in the evening was excellent and all bar prices were very reasonable. while there was some ongoing construction in the hotel grounds, there was still the ability to take a short stroll around the grounds. Definitely worthy of a short stay.」
