The room was spotless, the bed was extremely comfortable, and having a full kitchen made our stay very convenient. “I stayed here in the early 1980s, when I was in my early teens. It has been upgraded since then, but still provided that wonderful nostalgic feeling I had when I first visited the Outer Banks! I wanted my kids to experience this as well, so we booked a room for several days. We stayed in a courtyard room, which was still very quiet and comfortable, despite being next to the entrance drive. Unlike most beach motels, parking was NEVER an issue! We always had a spot close to the room. The room……

“Clean room , outstanding super friendly staff, air conditioning, shops very close. Location for fishing, boating, kayaking, surfing and beach.”

“This place needs lots of improvements and help. The room was deluxe king and the layout is good but cheaply built. Bathroom has no where to place any of your bathroom necessities. Pool was not open first day due to failure of inspection but did open next day. The 2nd day of the pool opened it already had no towels. When it had towels 1st day they were just little bigger than a foot towel. Staff wondered around a little but didn’t do much. The poop trash for dogs was overflowing. It’s sad……

“Overall, I had a pleasant stay. The hotel is pet friendly and welcoming to service animals, which was a big plus. One thing to know before visiting is that dogs are not allowed on the beach in Kill Devil Hills from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. during the summer. That’s a town rule, not the hotel’s policy, but it’s helpful to know. The hotel is cute, newly renovated, and has accessible first floor rooms. Otherwise, there are only stairs. Rooms have a nice refrigerator, and a microwave is available in……

“We checked in late the first night and stayed the second night at this inn. It was too short to show them the white bedding top comforter spread was all wrinkled as if it had been sitting in the dryer and forgotten. We took a photo and showed the front desk when checked out.”
