「Upon check in my husband and I were told that we were given a complimentary upgrade for our room. The gentleman helping us pulled out a map and said you booked a room by the golf course but we have upgraded you to a room by the tennis courts. We thanked him for the offer but declined and said we would prefer the room we selected during booking. The man excused himself and came back with a manager, Natalie. We asked Natalie who gave us the upgrade and she said she didn't know but the new room was...

「Staff was very friendly and helpful. It has great views and very relaxing . drinks and food was good too. Only issues we had was trying to get Ubers from there to other islands. Would highly recommend renting a car . It’s a great resort to stay to get away from. everyday life. 」

「We had a lovely stay at the resort. Staff were pleasant and friendly. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated. The two pool areas were beautiful along with the beach area. Our family had fun riding the bikes every day. We even got to witness a sea turtle release on the premises. The only draw back for me was the matter of lots of smoking. We had a non smoking room but the people next to us smoked on the patio outside causing our patio area to become engulfed with smoke as well as our room...

「Room is decent size and comfortable. Right next to an excellent cafe. Our room smelled of the cleaning solution they use to disinfect surfaces. Road noise is loud for rooms on the highway; select a room off the highway if possible, but was light during sleeping hours. Staff friendly - did not wear face masks. 」

「We had a great short stay at La Jolla Resort! The beds were comfy and the resort itself was nice. We took advantage of the paddle boards, kayaks, and snorkel gear. Also catching the sunset from the back on the hammocks was an added plus! 」

「I stayed here for one night after leaving Sugarloaf key, to be nearer friends and also the Miami airport. It was wonderfully appointed (room), clean and totally updated. Great view with a balcony too! 」

「The 2BR ocean view unit is large with a large wrap around deck with gorgeous view and a kitchen. Plenty of room to spread out and beds are comfortable. The shower could use some caulk and looked a little brown in the seams. The bolt lock on the door didn’t work but we didn’t have safety concerns. Breakfast is super basic but better than nothing. Great location and nice to watch people fishing right off the dock and going in and out of the marina. 」

「It was fantastic, good quality, comfortable and we will happily go back. One strange downside is there is a phenomenon at the natural beach on the property that smells terrible. It’s less noticeable when the tide is high but unfortunately that’s just nature and this beach is smelly. If you have a sensitive stomach you will not have a good time. We left the property for other beaches when it bothered us and otherwise had a fantastic stay. Smell was not present in the rooms at all. 」

「We had never stayed at this resort before, but were very pleased with all the amenities, especially the pool and the on-site restaurants and bars. Our view from our room was gorgeous and the service was excellent. We will be staying there again!」
