An amazing resort. Front desk staff was incredible. I got an upgrade to a beautiful suite upon arrival. The property is beautiful. Pools, bars, restaurants, activities, and lots of spaces to sit and relax including gas fire pits and couches for evening wind-down. Loved it!

My husband and I stayed here for our baby moon, and we honestly couldn’t recommend this place more! After doing a painful amount of research, it was difficult to decide between this resort and a few other ones we found, but I am so glad we went with The Islander. The grounds are beautiful, the staff is lovely, and the setup of the resort is all you could hope for! We truly forgot we were still in the U.S. and not on a tropical island. We also lucked out with our room location, being right near the pool, so we didn’t have to get out there early to “reserve” chairs, didn’t have to go far to use the bathroom, etc. It’s a family-friendly resort, but it’s not like it’s impossible for adults without children to relax. I’d recommend The Islander to anyone looking to stay in Islamorada.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect Stay – Already Want to Go Back! We had an amazing stay at Islander Resort and honestly didn’t want to leave! From the moment we arrived (even with a late check-in), Angela at the front desk set the tone for the entire trip. She was incredibly welcoming, fun, and went above and beyond—giving us a full tour of the property and even personally driving us to our villa since we had no idea where we were going. She immediately put us in vacation mode, and that level of service continued throughout our stay. We stayed in an oceanfront villa, which was absolutely beautiful. The setup was perfect—one king bedroom separate from the living area, plus a pullout couch that would easily work for kids or teens. The view was stunning, and having a front porch lounge area right on the water made it even better. What really stood out about this resort is how it manages to feel both secluded and social at the same time. There are so many little tucked-away lounging areas where you can relax in peace, but also plenty of space for larger groups to gather and enjoy. It’s perfect whether you’re traveling as a couple, with friends, or with kids. Speaking of kids/teens—the amount of activities available is incredible. There’s truly something for everyone, which made it a great fit for our family. Another unexpected highlight was the golf cart taxi service around the property—such a unique and convenient touch. Plus, using the Freebee app to get around Islamorada made everything so

We been staying at the Islander since the early 90’s. When it was family owned. It has always been a favorite place to stay for my wife and I. Since hurricane Irma destroyed it, and it has basically been rebuilt. It was always a beautiful place, but now the landscaping foliage and updates have made the place unbelievably perfect. It offers mini golf, bocce ball, PickleBall, volleyball, shuffle board.Bikes and Kayaks our available. So there is plenty to do if you’re an active person. However, if you want to just relax there are plenty of private areas to just sit back and enjoy the ocean views on the most comfortable outdoor furniture Imaginable, that sits among the beautiful palm trees and foliage. It’s inclusive, so you never have to leave the property for your entire stay.

Great Experience! Check in was super easy and Sarah at the front desk was very helpful and friendly. She even had a nice surprise delivered to our room for my birthday! The room showed a few minor wear and tear signs but was very clean! The bed was super comfortable! We enjoyed the patio and would have been out there more if it had not been for neighbors that were smoking on theirs. The drinks, food and service at Tides were all wonderful … we really enjoyed Kelly and Jamie, such a fun and energetic team! All I can say is…. Ahhhhh!! Loved it. The rooms are so comfy and beautiful with your own patio/lanai— there isn’t a “bad room” in the whole place. They have added so much lush tropical foliage— it’s truly gorgeous. The bar drinks are a bit pricey. But we had a wonderful time!! Will go back!

Poolside chairs come in loungers and double padded daybeds with side tables.

Drinks are wonderful… fancy ones are a bit pricey.

The staff comes around with frozen pineapple or mango popsicles in the afternoon. A full bar and menu is also available poolside!
