"Giana's house is a great location for exploring the area. We did Ape Cave, Trail of Two Forests, Lava Canyon, and had lake time. We only stayed two nights but could have easily stayed two weeks. The home was so clean and well appointed. We like to cook and had no problem cooking like we do at home. Our pre teen daughters enjoyed their own bedrooms. We will definitely be back!"
"This was a nightmare of a trip. If I have one regret in my life, it is booking this cabin. The place was incredibly dusty to the point that I was having an allergic reaction (swollen, watery eyes, scratchy throat, sneezing). There was a bug infestation, and I took a total of at least 8 pictures of the bugs we had inside while we were there. The kitchen was very ill-equipped (no mixing bowls, no salt, only one roll of paper towels available, no cheese grater, only one non-stick pan that was very old and scratched and cooked very unevenly because the bottom was no longer flat), and had an oven that fell out when we opened it. The patio was NOTHING like in the pictures and included no patio furniture and had tarps held down by concrete blocks that looked as though it was staving off some sort of needed repair. The steps at the front door are not steps at all and are just cinderblocks stacked up. As someone with a recent ankle surgery, this was a massive safety issue. Additionally, the kitchen island is on wheels, so when we leaned on it, it moved and almost fell over. The kitchen looks like it was homeowner remodel project, but none of the wood surfaces are adequately sanded nor actually sealed, which means massive risk of food-borne illness. There were cigarette burns in two of the couches. Everything looks like it's at least 30 years old, incuding the lights (which flickered the entire time we were there), sheets, and pillows (had staining). I am yet to get refunded."
St. Helens House ~ Yale Lake/Mt St Helens Retreat.
10/10 Excellent
"Kitchen was fully equipped, we never ran out of supplies like TP, paper towels, etc, and much more furniture than we needed for the 3 of us. Very cute cabin, the ladder may be difficult for young children/elderly, but our daughter didn’t mind it & loved the loft."
In the heart of the volcano blast zone, enjoy stunning views of Mount St. Helens, listen to ranger talks, hike through the wilderness or watch an informational film.
