“3 strikes and you’re out! This was our third and will be our last stay here. Staff was friendly but this motel has devolved into just a place to sleep for the night and move on quickly the next morning. No coffee makers in rooms, no hair dryer (front desk had to “find” one for us), very minimal breakfast offerings (all carbs), few places to sit for eating, cigarette butts littered everywhere, even in stairwells. Although there were many rooms available on the first level, we were put in the last……

“Easy to access, clean, quiet”

“Booked in advance, asked for a bottom floor room as we are Sr. citizens. Gave us an upstairs room. Asked the clerk if we could have a ground floor room. (It was Sunday night and plenty of lower rooms were available). Clerk stated no, this is what we the computer gave us. Now for the room. Sink was filthy with mud, toilet had urine all over it and the floor. Turned down the sheets, stains everywhere and full of dead bedbugs! We left the property after lodging a complaint with the clerk!”

“It was a very nice stay but our first impression wasn’t great. We were greeted by 4-5 of the staff smoking out front right where we were unloading our luggage under the portico. Otherwise it was a pleasant experience. ”

“I have been staying at this establishment for a couple of years now. Over the last year I have been seeing a decline in the building structure itself. Which is a huge concern and disappointment. During this visit the entire wall that the beds were on had no electricity. I did call the front desk to inform them of this issue. She did offer to switch rooms for us. But truthfully this should not have been an issue. They should have known about the issue and not put someone in the room to……

“Nice quiet and clean”

“Cabin was in poor condition. Windowsills were full of dead ants. Toilet had a drip leak in the hose line, with a bucket placed underneath to catch. When we arrived, the bucket was overflowing and spilling water onto the bathroom floor. It seemed nobody had cleaned or checked on the room in weeks or even months before we arrived.”

“Absolutely comfortable and cozy”

“My travel there was in mid-April. There were no other guests/owners staying in the houses around the area, so it was very secluded and peaceful. I was traveling alone, so the size of the house was perfect. The water level of the lake was low making the launch of the kayak a bit difficult, but once on the lake, it was very beautiful! I would stay here again. Google maps showed a different location for county road 159, so make sure you are paying close attention to the blue county road signs, so……

“Clean, small, but cozy. Pictures did not show surrounding properties as this tiny cabin was NOT on the lake. It would have been nice to know ahead of time that the only access to fishing was at the boat ramp. All other shoreline and piers seemed to be privately owned. The grill was unusable due to filth. The inside was just as pictured and we enjoyed the amenities that were offered inside. Having to pay a cleaning fee is necessary, but we were required to wash and put away all dishes and……

“We absolutely loved our stay! We had 2 families stay for the week and it was amazing! We were in the water everyday! The kids loved being right there on the water. It was on a dead end and we had plenty of space to swim, explore, and fish. It was peaceful at night sitting on the deck watching fireflies. The kids did smores. It was perfect. It slept us all nicely. The teenagers did not mind the bunkbeds. They loved the game room as well as all the board games. The owner was very nice and helpful……

“The host were very nice, communication was very clear. We where in a storm where we would loose power. They brought extra blankets and some soup. Mark.and Maggie are great people to rent from. Would definitely rent it again”
