“Excellent stay. Great host, really lovely rooms and fresh cooked breakfast in the morning is a must. Great location, around a 5 - 10 minute walk to the city center and right next door to the pub. No parking on site but there is a large multi-story public parking nearby which is a good cheap option.”

“Staff was excellent. Food in restaurants were very good. Plenty of option and good portions”

“Room was spotless and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Location is very central, though this makes parking and unloading luggage slightly difficult. The building is a listed building, so the historic windows had poor sound insulation. We were there on a Saturday night and the noises from the street can be heard very late into the evening.”

“Very nice stay. Lovely king room. Hot rainfall shower. Breakfast lovely with plenty of choice. Spa was fresh and clean. Would stay again.”

“The pub is in a great location for exploring the town. The bar has a nice atmosphere and serves very nice food Lovely breakfast too The bedroom was great Definitely will return”

“The hotel is perfectly located in the middle of town, right next door to the cathedral. A great launch site for exploring the city. We were able to park directly under the hotel which was very convenient as it was raining. The hotel is clean and tidy, but starting to show its age in places and probably due a refurbishment at some point. We enjoyed our stay and would probably stay there again.”

“Very welcoming with helpful and friendly staff. Good and varied dinner menu and a good choice selection of cooked or light breakfast. Location is out of the way down narrow lanes but the pretty village setting is both quiet and peaceful.”

“Nice and comfortable excellent decor. However toiletries need improvement, body wash and shampoo combined and no body lotion”

“Good: The decoration of the room is cozy and in good classic style There is a bar on the ground floor which is good Staff are nice and friendly Bad: Strong smell in the bathroom which is disgusting, we think that comes from the eroding wood The water boiler is not clean and there is even water remain inside Being asked for the room key after check out but believe their staff mixed things up (Wrong number tag on the key)”

“Quaint property with rooms in the main building and in an outer building across a patio with table seating where we had a quiet, well-equipped, modern room. The Inn is a short walk to a scenic marsh and pond with fish/eel traps and a bench for savoring the peaceful view. The town of Stockbridge, about a mile away, is wonderful for window shopping (and purchasing!) and is the start of a beautiful picturesque 'marsh walk' through grazing cows and lovely pastures. We found their restaurant had a……

“Loved the property, we stayed in the chalet. Facilities are excellent & the buffet breakfast provided was more than ample. Located in a quiet area but very convenient for town centre, a nice walk along the canal takes you into town. Had a very friendly welcome from James who explained how everything worked. Definitely stay again if we need accommodation in Romsey.”
