In addition, the picturesque hilltop village of Mortehoe, with its breathtaking National Trust clifftop footpaths, is also less than 2 miles beyond the smaller sand and shingle cove beaches of Grunta and Barricane. Horse riding and rock climbing are also popular activities in and around the sands, and the glorious undulating countryside and dramatic coastline of Exmoor is also within a very scenic 10-mile drive.
